McKay Sponsors Anti-TViolence House Measure WASHINGTON, Dr. Raymond - 8oo( Marathons Keep PAYSON Elementary school students in Payson are doing a lot of reading this month. Most of them are participating in the Multiple Sclerosis READ-a-Thosponsored by the Utah Chaper of the National MS Society. In addition, the third, fourth and fifth graders at Peteetneet School held an overnight reading marathon. All ot the elementary school students in the city are being asked to register the number of books they will have read between March 1 and 31, according to an MSS spokesman. They obtain pledges from friends and relatives to contribute to the Multiple Sclerosis Society an agreed sum per book actually read, with the parents certifying the reading. For instance, if a pupil registers to read 10 books during the month and a donor pledges 10 cents for each book it would mean a contribution of $1 if the student reads all of the books. The READ-a-tho- n is a national program of the Multiple Sclerosis Society which raised over $5 million last year for research to find the cause and cure for MS.
