The beauty and glitter of the hall was exceeded only by the Zukerman's magnificent performance. Pinchas Zukerman has been refered to as being "absolutely without peer," by the London Times and Friday night he again proved the point. The love of music sings through his flawless technique. "'Animals...' is an excellent work of scholarship and interpretation, which fills a need and fills it well," says Guy Davenport, author of "The Geography of the Imagination." Neikrug is their equal and he complements as well as accompanies the Zukermans. This was particullary apparent in the precission with which he played Sontensatz from FAE Sonata by Johannes Brahms. Together, the Zukermans make a duet that will not be forgotten. The audience was so wooden and boring. Zukerman has a full, rich spirit and he shares abundantly that joy in music. His wife, Eugenia, is every bit the master that Zukerman is. Her perfomance was enchanting. She can carol the songs of Bach and Brahms and then move magically into the passions of Hindemith and the fantasy of Hue. Bryant said he was wading rrr- r& award-winnin- through thigh deep snow at the time he smappted the shutter with "frozen finger." Bryant has been a staff photographer for the university's student paper, "The Daily Universe," for the past two years and has been stringer for the Associated Press in Utah.
