Show SECOND SUMMER FESTIVAL OPERA TO BEGBi TOES. One of the most humorous of the light operas whh a fantastically fantastic-ally involved plot to add to the fun I will be the second offering of the I960 University of Utah Summer Festival. "Die Fledermaus" will have performances per-formances nightly, from July 1 2 to 16, in the U. of U. Stadium Bowl. It features the songs and waltzes) of Johann Strauss. First part of this year' Summer Festival has been the Broadway musical hit, "Annie Get Your Gun" which had its U. of U. opening July I. Performances have been held nightly and will end July 9. To sing lead roles in "Die Fledermaus, Fleder-maus, three outstanding singers are being brought to Utah: Beverly Bower for the role of Rosalinda; Claire Alexander as Adele and Ernest McChesney as Einstein. They will be assisted by a strong support ing cast of top Intermountain area talent, chorus, members of the Utah Symphony Orchestra and lancers from the University Theater Thea-ter Ballet Company. "Die Fledermaus" means "the bat" in English. The show concerns con-cerns a man who attempts to '"get even" for having been made tho butt of a joke. As the plot unfolds, a husband makes love to his disguised dis-guised wife; the wife's former lover returns and vies for her affections plus other complications.
