Show HERBERT GUST RITES SLATED TODAY AT 1P.M Funeral services for Herbert R. Gust, 70, of 300 E. State Highway. Copperton, longtime Copperton and Bingham resident, who passed away Tuesday, July 5, at 3:45 a.m. in a Salt Lake hospital after a linger, ling-er, "ng illness, will be held Friday (today) at I p.m. in St. Paul's Community Methodist Church, at Copperton. Rev. Ada Duhigg and Rev. M. Robert Turner will officiate. offici-ate. Friends may call at the family residence this morning (Friday) from 10:30 to I 1 :30 a.m. Mr. Gust was born December 16, 1889, in Uren, S. Dak., a son of Rudolph and Rose Collins Gust. He married Estelle Abrahamson September Sep-tember 27, 1916, in Douglas, N. Dakota. An active and longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Mr. Cunt is a past state president of the F.O.E. He also is a past president- of Binpham-Midvale F. O. E. Aerie No. 659 and had served as secretary of the organization for 2 1 years. A member of the Bingham Bing-ham Canyon Lions Club, he also belonged on the board of directors of the Bingham District Athletic Ass'n. and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen Fire-men and Enginemen, Oquirrh No. 844. He was retired from Kennecott Kenne-cott Copper Corp., where he had worked as a brakeman. Mr. Gust was a member of St. Paul's Community Com-munity Methodist Church in Copperton. Cop-perton. Surviving him are his widow, Copperton; three son and three daughters, James Cordon Gust, Sunnydale, Calif.; H. Russell Gust, McGill, Nev.; Don J. Gust, Granger; Mrs. Dan (May) - Goodwin, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Harold (Patricia) Sturgill and Mrs. Wilbur (Kathryn) Thomas, both of Kearns; 14 grandchildren, grand-children, and his mother, North Hollywood, Calif. Also surviving are four brothers and three sisters: Raymond Gust, British Columbia, Canada; Cecil Gust, Wiicl.ita, Kansas; Leonard Gust, Portland, Ore.; Est el e Gust, Oceanside, Calif.; Mrs. Aimer (Blanche) Berg, Bingham Canyon; Mrs. Martin (Lylis) McKieneavy and Mrs. Reginald (Cloyds) Ellis, both North Hollywood, Calif. Interment will be in Midvale City Cemetery. |
