Show B.D.A.A. FLASHES by Jim Abplanalp "BEE" GAME NEXT WEEK Another big night of baseball entertainment is on tap next Thursday Thurs-day for BDAA members. The Salt Lake Bees play host to Tacoma at Derks Field, and some very special events are scheduled to take place that evening. This week's game, against Sacramento Sac-ramento wes well attended and the members were treated to a tine game. The Bees are starting to make their drive for another pennant, pen-nant, and the second half should be of top interest for local baseball base-ball fans. We hope all BDAA members are taking advantage of this extra-added activity, as such programs are vary hard to arrange and we feel very fortunate in gaining this added activity for this summer. Remember, you do not need a membership card. Report to Gate No. 6, on West Temple street and tho BDAA checkers will be there to let you in. Four games remein on the schedule sche-dule for BDAA members, wives and children under 16 years of age. Why not take the family out to the ball game? Will Miss Booster The BDAA and the entire Bingham Bing-ham area was saddened by the passing pass-ing of one of the community's staunch est sports boosters. Herb Gust. Herb, a member of the BDAA Board of Directors and an ardent booster of Bingham athletics, never missed a chance to help in any way he could to further development of good sports and good sportsmanship. sportsman-ship. The BDAA Board of D rectors offers sympathy to Herb's family, and feels sure that his interest and activity in local sports programs will be sorely missed. Meeting Monday The regular meeting of BDAA Board of Directors will be held Monday, July II, at 5:00 p.m. at Bingham City Hall. |
