In fact, Mrs. Entwistle, who is a teacher of piano, says that she might just make a new home here and continue her teaching. Prior to coming to Utah, the visitor spent some months in Washington, D.C., with another daughter, Mrs. Helen Stone. wedding reception and a birthday celebration, enlivened the itinerary of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Halladay, Provo, who returned from California during the past week. Their first stop was at Sacramento where they visited daughter, Beth, her husband, M. B. Torscher and their family. They were also entertained by the Torscher's son, Robert Dunn and his wife and family before moving on to Ripon, Calif., to visit their son, Bill Halladey and his wife, the former Hanne Raunholt of Provo and their family. The wedding and reception at Fremont, honored their granddaughter, Christie Peterson and Konaid Means, given oy tne bride's parents, Clinton and Helen Halladay Peterson. Also at were hosted Fremont the Provoans by daughter, Mrs. Ardis Cazier and family. Ardis' daughter, Linda and husband, Bruce Chapman gave the birthday party for their daughter, Christie Ann, 2. Carlson, age 17, is a junior at Orem High. A member of the track team, he lettered in varsity football last fall. He is a Star Scout. Fred D. Mr. and Mrs. Fred L Markham hosted a pleasant evening during the week enjoyed by some 25 members of the MIA class which Mrs. Markham has been instructing during the season. Mr. Markham gave an interesting architectural lecture and projected slides pertinent to his subject. The hostess served refreshments at the conclusion of the evening, assisted by class members. After a separation of six years, Mr. aid Mrs. Gerard Voran of Orem, find themselves pleasantly anticipating the coming visit of Mrs. Voran's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Buck from their former home in Philadelphia, Pa. It is also expected that a brother, Clarence Buck Jr., and his wife will be accompanying the visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Voran came to Utah soon after they were 'married and have enjoyed it so much they have made their home and are raising their five children here. Mr. Voran is employed with the Texaco Company in Salt Lake City. When one of the eight children in the Ted E. Van Horn family achieves a birthday, they are the special guests of Mom and Dad for the evening in an activity of their choice. This past week Julie came to her eleventh birthday anniversary and according to tradition chose to have supper at Sundance where the trio also enjoyed the cafe's entertainment. The Van Horn's also have as their house guest, Mrs. Velora Apeland of Bellevue, Wash. Johnnie Bryan, commander; Ed Chappel, adjutant; Ralph Balzly, finance officer; Arthur Davis, sergeant at arms; Frank Thomas, service officer; and Duane Dockstader, chaplain. In ceremonies held the same evening, Mrs. Noel (Carol) Dixon was installed as president of the American Legion Auxiliary. She succeeds Mrs. Max (Betty) Llewelyn.
