Show Wednesday, Obituaries More on Sally Oxborrow Meservy Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Sally 1 Oxborrow Meservy, age 47, died November 1,2002, along with her father, Robert M. Oxborrow and great aunt, .1 Edith Ashby Reid, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born January 1, 1955 in East Ely, Nevada, daughter of Robert Morris Oxborrow and Sara Geral-din- e McKenzie Oxborrow. She grew up in Lund, Nevada and Orem, Utah. Married Michael B. Meservy May 14, 1976 in the Provo Temple! She was a loving wife and mother of six. She was a mother first, a poet, artist, discoverer of talents (especially in children). She served in numerous church callings and was an extraordinary youth leader. She was exceptionally talented in music including composition, singing, playing various instruments: guitar, violin, saxophone 5-- 10:30-11:4- Robert Morris Oxborrow, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away November 1,2002 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident along with his daughter, Sally Oxborrow Meservy and aunt, Edith Ashby Reid. He was born October 24, 1930 in Ely, Nevada, son of Mark and Margaret Reid Oxborrow. He grew up in Lund, Nevada. Married Sara Geraldine McKenzie December 1, 1951 in Lund, Nevada and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a father often, farmer and school teacher. He served as a counselor in the Bishopric as well as numerous other church callings including a mission with his wife to the Virginia Richmond Mission. He was a friend to all. He had many talents which included singing and playing the guitar. He loved grandchildren, horses, light- - Isabel Leslie Hardy icated scout leader, as well as many other callings. Dad always shared his strong testimony of the gospel with his family and others. Dad served in the US Army in the 177th Infantry Division during WWII, in the Pacific Theater. Dad received two Purple Hearts and other commendations. Dale retired from Mt. Fuel Supply Co. after more than 30 years of service. Some of Dad's favorite passions were his family, the gospel of Jesus LDS Temple. Dale was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many church callings, including a member of the bishopric, temple worker, served several LDS missions, a ded Christ and the Herring Family Farm. Dad enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, vacations with his family and cooking. Survivors include Fern King Dr. Dr. John Taylor Marshall, 82, of 1920 to Alex dentist. After an honorable charge he set up his dental practice in Springville, Utah, where he retired in 1990. John was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Temple. John enjoyed hobbies of mushroom hunting and model R. C. airplane building and flying. He graduated from Brigham Young University and J went on to graduate from North-- " western Dental School, Chicago, Illinois. He was a Lieut, (jg) in the ''' U. S. Navy Reserves where he served active duty in Germany as a ' (Ron) Wilkinson; Diane (Kent) Taysom; Irene, deceased, (Bill) Lamb; Dale (Deb) Herring; Dawn (Pei) Kolopeaua; Mike LtL (Becky) Herring; Debbie (Boyd) Hamilton; David 1 (Laura) Herring; Dana (Roger) Smith; Tina (Craig) Mecham; Dennis Herring; Todd (Meredith) Herring; Danny Herring; Daren (Kris-ten- ) Herring; Lisa (Tom) Kellogg. He is also survived by 55 grandchildren and 65 He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Irene Lamb, and his grandchildren, Edward Wilkinson, David M. Herring, and Dallen W. Herring, and one great grandchild, Colleen Ewin. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 7, 2002, at 10 a.m. in the Steeple Chase Chapel, 1780 N. 165 East, Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held Wednesday p.m. at the evening from Mortuary, 495 S. State St. in Orem, and also Thursday one hour prior to the services at the ward chapel. John was born August 28, 1920, to Milton and Julia Richards Taylor Marshall. He married Mary Miner on March 25, 1942 in the Salt Lake Herring and children: Darla China, and Canton, Red China. She enjoyed being with her husband and son doing such activi ties as hunting, Isabel Leslie Hardy, 82, of Springville, Utah, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2002. She struggled six years with Alzheimers Disease that slowly but surely, took her life. She was born in Magna, Utah on February 3, houses, coaching girls basketball, and doing anything Geri asked him to do. Dale Templeton Herring A thoughtful, spiritual giant of a man passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter, Darla Wilkinson, on November 4, 2002. Dale was born in Hiawatha, Utah on December 14, 1921 to James Tillman and Harriett Price Herring, their only child. He was raised in Carbon, Emery County and Orem. He married Fern King on August 14, 1940. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Page A5 Provo. Utah 1 Robert Morris Oxborrow and piano. Sally is loved by all who knew her and her smile was the signature of her friendship.
