Show r O B ITU ARI E S DeJber Delbert Francis Norman, of at East Lake American Fork. was He born April 5, in 1922 American Fork to John and Earl Robinson McTague. He married ijSkL f Betty Houston on June 3, 1944 in American Fork. They were later sealed in the Provo LDS Temple. Harry graduated from American Fork High School and the University of Utah with a Bachelor's and Master's degree. He took time out from his education during WWII and flew 29 combat missions over Europe as a bombardier and navigator for the 8th Air Force. He worked for Geneva Works of U.S. Steel, retiring after 35 years as Division of Transportation and Services. He was faithful member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities. He was active Superintendent in hole-in-on- ever-elusi- Katherine affairs community and devoted countless hours to volunteer work at the American Fork Hospital. During World War 2 he worked for the government at Camp Williams and at Camp Kearns. He was also a carpenter and worked on several buildings and constuc-tio- n of homes. He also built a new home on his farm for his wife and family. He was an active member of the LDS Church. He and his wife served as ordinance workers at the Provo Temple for 15 years. She was born May 26, 1933 in American to Fork, William and Emma Binch Greening, the eighth of 11 children. She married Ted L. Bird August 21, 1950. Together they raised five children, all of whom reflect their mother and father's love. Elaine magnified her role as a mother, her example, kind words for her fellow man & dedication to family will remain in our hearts forever. She enjoyed her family outings, whether in the Lakeview Elderly Care in Center, desert, mountains, fishing at Moon Lake, golfing, bowling, trap shooting or at her home. Her family meant everything to Pleasant Grove where' she has been cared for the last eight years. She was born Dec. 25, 1900 in Minersville, Utah the daughter of Joseph Wm. and Mary Alice Walker Eyre. The family moved soon thereafter to Urie, Wyoming in the Bridger Valley where she spent her childhood and early adulthood. She was married to Joseph A. Kirkman by whom she had two children: Adella May Kirkman Austin, and Calvin Eyre Kirkman both who preceded her in death. In 1946 she married Arthur A. Shelly of American Fork he preceded her in death in 1966. Hes was" survived by his" son Dean Ivan Shelly of Sierra Madre, Calif.. He and his wife Betty and their two children have gone to great lengths to her. She is survived by her children, Ted R. (Pat) Bird of Farmington; Marty W. (Diane) Bird & Chuck (Lorraine) Bird both of Las Vegas, Nevada; Ranae (Jack) Murphy of Sandy; Teresa Ciao of American Fork; 12 grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters: Ellis and Arlan Greening both of Orem, Don and Dale Greening both of American Fork; Marion Newman of Pleasant Grove; Ila Kelson of West Valley. Preceded in death by her husband Ted, May 15, 1996, her parents, three brothers, and a sister. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 11 a.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary 49 E. 100 No., American Fork, where friends may call 1 hour prior to services.
