Last March she was among a group, including Orville C. her father-in-laGunther and her sister-in-laMarion Thomas, who were invited to visit India with a group of CARE staff from San Francisco to see first hand what is being done to help with education, emergency relief and rehabilitation in remote vilw w lages. Gunther took with her samples of educational, newborn and hygiene kits, leprosy bandages, infant clothing and toys that her LDS ward had produced. These items were received well in villages in India and CARE staffers became interested in having more produced to be used in other countries. CARE said they could take 6,160 education kits for the children and 2,260 birthing kits to be sent to needy countries. That was more than Gunther's ward could produce on its own, so she decided to approach the project as a community or Utah County families service project. People of all faiths were enlisted. My problem? I grew up in a filthy home, too ashamed to have my friends set foot inside the place. My poor mother knew absolutely nothing about housekeeping and was too bogged down with her marital problems to learn. Mom spent most of my childhood lying in bed feeling sorry for herself. The result of all this is that I do not know the first thing about chump. I also came to the conclusion that by not letting my brother get away with this, I was doing him a favor.
