Show Encore students recognized at awards program Encore Piano Teachers' held its Seventh Annual Awards Program at Keith Jorgensen's Music Center on May 8. The awards program recognizes all achievements earned through the year at the association's nine student events. This year's program featured a solo performance by Michelle Bailey, a concerto performance by Rebecca Tucker and Kim Hendricks, and a project performance by Jeff Everett and Justin Smith. Michelle Bailey and Danielle Wilson each received a scholarship award from Encore in the amount of $175 for use at a summer music program of the student's choice. Bailey and Wilson also received $100 scholarships from Utah State University. Lindsey Rhodes was given the Utah Symphony Outstanding Performer Award. Amy Baugh received a the solo category. Marylyn Butler, Christopher Clark, Dustin Ercanbrack, Tanner Folster, Kimberly Hansen, Tyler Terry, Rebecca Tucker, Emily Walker and Megan Welch earned gold cups in the same catgold cups for egory.
