Graduate classes, taught by USU professors, will be offered Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. Classes will typically run from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. USU's MBA program and School of Accountancy are fully accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of e Business. The program will have two areas of focus, a general track and an accounting track, and students completing the accounting track will be eligible to take the CPA exam upon completion of the program. Ian Wilson, dean of UVSC's School of Business, said approximately 35 students will be admitted into the program, and they expect their first graduates in the winter of 1999. This MBA program has evolved from a successful Master of Accountancy program offered by USU at UVSC over the last two years. Students interested in the program must apply to USU and met the standard requirements as outlined by the university. Each course requires five weekends to complete, and schedules are established well in advance and avoid obvious conflicts with holidays. Students must maintain continuous enrollment to complete the program within two years. Although it's a USU program, tuition will be paid to Utah Valley State College at the rate of $125 per quarter credit hour for the USU courses. Wilson said this program will create heavy competition for neighboring schools because of the great rate of tuition. UVSC and "USU entered in a partnership several years ago offering a bachelor's degree in business management and then a master's degree in accounting. Dean David Stephens of USU's College of Business and Wilson both agree that the program has been very successful for all parties part-tim- I II HM ffi" jjjiiiii lil ill viJS Jli&J iiliiPPM" 166 MHz Pentium' Inn m mm Processor with MMX Technology in ilMiIIflUoi rj&ifib! m smmmz Iomega 1 00 16 MB EDO RAM '2.1 GIG hard drive 12x CD ROM 33.6 modem 256K pipeline burst cache 2 MB video ram .Huge software bundle including Word Perfect Suite!
