A fourth generation Lehian, Bon Smith wu born the third in a family of ail children. Hia parents, Victor and Deon Cmith reared their children with a healthy regard for their pioneer heritage. Ron graduated from Lehi High School and Brigham Young University. He earned a degree in economic education and has taught in the Granite School District for 28 years. Even though he hasn't run for public office before, he served in the Civic Improvement Association for eight yean and was a member ofthe parade committee for six years. His degree in economics makes him aware of the importance of fiscal responsibility and he has some ideas about what needs tobe done to keep a strong economic base for Lehi City's present and future. Bon understands the importance of a realistic master plan and the importance ofkeeping Lehi a "wonderful place to live and raise a family."
