They marched in seven parades in four weeks this sum- The Utah Golden Girls Jr. Drill and Dance Team have had a great summer, taking home the first place trophy in The Pleasant Grove, American Fork and the Provo Freedom Festival Parades. Winning first place in the Provo Children's parade made it possible to participate in the Provo Grande Parade. The Golden Girls, with their director Colleen Bills, have won the children's parade in Provo for the mer. The Golden Girls are based at the Pleasant Grove Community Center at 65 E. 200 S. Saturday afternoon the girls won a an easier game against Massachusetts team, with Julie Wilde scoring three runs and a Shannon West sacrifice scoring another. Erin Steins" triple also brought in two runs and the Rebels Kim Robertson. Salt Lake won pick-upitcher was the winning pitcher. Saturday night at 8 p.m. found the team playing the championship game against a good Pennsylvania learn.
