She replaces Ross Durrant, also of American Fork, who has served as director of the Professional Art Exhibit for the last three years. Durrant turned the annual show from a regional to a national exhibit of fine reputation. Durrant, who teaches fourth grade at Meadow Elementary School in Lehi, will be out of state during the summer. Having the machine is important, she says, because Americans make their product differently, causing the water to freeze in larger crystals and requiring that air be pumped into it to make it smooth.
