Immediately her presence was felt and she bame known as a quality teacher one with a quest, a quest for her students' success. - The presidents under which she has worked are Glen Snow, Glen Smith, Mathew Bentley, Ellvert Hines, Arthur Bruhn, Ferron Losee, Wm. Rolfe Kerr, and Alton Wade. Two presidents who served prior to Snow, Joseph Nocholes and Edgar Jensen, taught Parkinson while she attended BYU and recommended that Snow hire Parkinson at Dixie College. Among those she has taught are foods, clothing, courtship and marriage, textiles,' family finance, preschool, nutrition, sewing, interior design, and child guidance. e In 1957 she returned teaching American History Current Events and American Problems. Though she took a 10 year hiatus to raise a family after her second year on campus, Parkinson frequently substituted during that span. included Jeff Holland and three local favorites, Dale and Derrill Larkin and George Staheli.
