"We take the regular chair, then, using special materials, mold a form to fit the shape of our resident," Mr. Baer said. This not only makes it more comfortable for the individual confined to the chair on a basis, but makes it possible for them to attain better posture, and, in the process, helps prevent further deformities of their extremities. In addition, it promotes better function and ability by the user, such as making it easier for him or her to feed themselves, and makes it possible for some of the wheelchair bound to move about by themselves instead of having to be pushed all of the time. "Our residents with cerebral palsey, for instance, have special needs not filled by a regular wheel chair," Mr. Baer said. He said the program is one where volunteers are used to help with the "customizing" and if anyone would like to donate their services to the machine. Cancer fund workers were told that if they can raise $30,000 to be applied to the purchase of the $60,000 machine the hospital will donate the other $30,000. This means that women needing the testing would not have to go all the way to Utah Valley to have the tests done. The counter to that reasoning is; "If football is so important to you son, I suggest that you make certain you pass all your classes. Do that, and you'll be eligible to play." The mammography is currently the most effective screening method for routinely demonstrating cancers smaller than half an inch in diameter. One reason' the technique is so sensitive is that it can find tiny calcium deposits in breast tissue; these "microcalcifications" frequently indicate that a tumor is present The National Cancer Institute has said that women at high risk of breast cancer "may consider mammography as an annual procedure," and it defines three high risk groups: all women over 50 years of age, women over forty with a family history of breast cancer and women over thirty-fivwho have already developed cancer in one breast The cancer fund volunteers will chooses.
