The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. The concert is sponsored by the Garland LDS Semin- I I ary. Tickets may be purchased from seminary students or at the door for $2.50 each. "Like Unto Us" is a group of Latter-da- y Saints who have put Jesus Christ's teachings to music. They have traveled extensively with a USO tour. Marriage Announced . The parents of Wendy Sue Andrews are pleased to announce her marriage to Jay Paul Lish of Deweyville. The marriage took place Nov. 19 at Riverhights. Dissolve gelatine in boiling water. Chill until slightly thickened. Add salt and blend in mayonnaise. Stir in celery, apples and nuts until thoroughly mixed. Whip cream and fold into mixture. Pour into mold and chill until set. Serves 10. CHRISTMAS HONEY FRUIT COOKIES Half cup honey, V2 cup water. Warm together to dissolve and then let cool. Cream together: 1 cup shortening, 2 cups sugar. Add 2 beaten eggs and the following dry ingredients which have been sifted together: 5 cups sifted flour, 1 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. soda. Add honey water and mix well. Add 1 cup candied fruit mix and M cup chopped nuts. If desired, one of the following may be added:. 1 cup. cocoanut, cup raisins, Mt cup chopped dates. Form dough into walnut size balls with hands. Press down slightly on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 12 minutes. -- MEXICAN DIP Two med. onions (chopped fine), 2 small cans green, cup canned milk, 2 lbs. chillies, 1 med. can tomatoes, Velveeta cheese. Saute the onions in a small amount of oil. Add chillies and tomatoes (well drained). Add evaporated milk. Mix together and add cheese which has been cut into small squares. Heat over low heat until cheese is melted. Keep in covered container. Very good to serve as a hot dip with potato chips, crackers or vegetable pieces. Keeps well and is also good served cold. Mix all ingredients. Place in buttered casserole dish. Top with crushed potato chips. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes at 400 degrees. ' ; Serves 6. : Page pace? Mrs. Garland (Nell Bezzant) Puzey of 353 North 1st East in Tremonton has transformed her home into a color schemes flittering array of lights and candles-h- er are artistic and pleasing to the eye. It would be hard to visit her lovely home and not come away with the Christmas spirit. Nell is a gracious hostess and a charming person to visit with. And she tells stories in such interesting ways that you actually relive the experiences with her. . She spent her girlhood in Magna, graduating from the University of Utah with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in music and creative writing. She taught school in the Granite District. After her marriage to Garland Puzey whom she had met while attending the University, they lived in Kamas, Holladay and Cedar City before coming to Tremonton. Her husband was a student counselor at Bear River High School until his retirement in 1975. They've taken pride in raising their "all boy" family-Rob- ert (Bob) is a counselor at the Junior High School in Roy. He and his wife have two children. William (Bill) is an attorney. He and his wife and three children live in Reno. Paul is on the faculty at the Roy High School. He and his wife have two daughters. Nell has served as a substitute teacher in all areas in Box Elder County. Her accomplishments are far too many to mention-b- ut among them she has served in many, many church , positions both on a ward and stake level. Her secret love is music. She and her husband love to travel, and she recalls- -" A highlight in our life was a fantastic trip to Germany while our son, Paul, was stationed in Berlin. He and his wife accompanied us to many European countries. Paul was able to purchase a lovely clock for us in Germany, of which we are very fond." Her hobbies consist of doing creative things with her hands. "I enjoy needlepoint, quilting and playing the piano," she said. "I also like to spend leisure time reading. I am a member of the Tremonton Literary Guild and also a member of the Tremonton Women's Civic League." Nell was also chosen "Mother of the Year" for Bear River Valley in 1973. She was presented with a lovely locket. specialty Baking is her favorite form of cooking-h- er is baking pies. Today she shares favorite recipes which are in keeping with the holiday season.
