Nancy is a graduate of Bear River High School. She has been employed at Thiokol Corp. Darwin is employed by Patriarch James White at his blacksmith shop in Garland as a welder. Following their marriage they made their home in Salt Lake City for some time before purchasing a lovely Boise Cascade home in Riverside. Nancy has a knack for interior decorating and her home sparkles with her original ideas. "I play soft ball on the ladies league and both Darwin and I play tennis and golf. We enjoy camping and going for motorcycle rides." "I like good, fast, easy recipes tor summertime and fall," she confided. "Darwin is easy to cook for, he likes plain basic meals." Combine softened cream cheese and sugar. Add egg and mix well. Combine margarine, water and chocolate in saucepan. Bring to boil. Remove from heat. Stir in flour and sugar. Add eggs, sour cream, soda and salt. Mix well. Pour into greased and floured dripper pan. Spoon cheese mixture over chocolate batter. Cut through batter with knife several times for marble effect. Mr. Leavitt was born in Garland in 1908 and worked as a farmer at the Bushnell Hospital, Cutler Dam and the Bureau of Land Management for 33 years. He retired from this job in 1976. Melt caramels with water and Vi cup margarine in saucepan over low heat. Stir occasionally until smooth. Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt. Gradually add caramel sauce and mix well. Stir in pecans. Pour over crust. Continue baking 15 minutes. Cool and cut into bars., Two-third- mor, ton. No gifts are requested. Mr. and Mrs. Leavitt were married in 1927 in the Logan LDS Temple. They have lived in various places in Box The study for the 1977-7- 8 year will be "Masters of Literary Genius". They will study personalities from vari ious countries. D open House A family dinner at Maddox Ranch House will honor Mr. and Mrs. Grover R. Harper, on the occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary. They were married September 22, 1927, in Brig-haCity and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake IDS Temple. They have resided in Honeyville, Promontory, Brigham City, and Corinne. Mr. Harper was born in Honeyville, October 24, 1904, a son of Lewis and Kate Barnard Harper. He had five brothers and two sisters: Earl, Ezra, Vera, Thomas, George, Erma, and Jack. The former Eva Adams was born in Riverdale, Idaho, January 30, 1909, to John and Leuvenia Bishop Adams. She had three brothers and three sisters, Myron, LaVern, Mildred, Wilma, Rex and Ray. The Harpers are farmers at heart and have many fond memories of their family being raised on the farm. Also, of their parents, brothers, sisters, relatives, neighbors, and their many friends that have enriched their lives, both at home and as LEADER-GARLAN- GROUP SIZES |
