Parents of the new baby girl are Stephen and LaXette Anderson of Salt Lake City. She was born August 26 at the Holy Cross Hospital. Mrs. V'irgie Anderson w ill spend a week at their home, helping the new mother. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Allred and r$ill Justensen spent Monday in Ogden w here they met the Allred's daughter, Mrs. Erna Butler, and their e granddaughter, Christi and baby and enjoyed dinner at Andy's Chuckwag-on- . Kor-bridg- Mike and Hazel Wharton and children, Peter, Susan, and David, of Vancouver, Canada, visited Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Austin Monday, August 22. Kerry had baptized Mrs. Wharton w hile on his mission. Weekend visitors at the Krvin Jensen home were Mr. and Mrs. Thirl Christenson, By Mary Ann .Maughan and Lavonna Carter. The low prize was Campbell Mr. and Mrs. Farral Archibald, the Jensen's grandson, Ronald Bruff of Phoenix, Ariz, and their granddaughter, Leanna Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Kim Butler and son, John, of Rupert, Idaho were overnight guests of Mrs. Geo Durns Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Dal-toLinda Davis and four girls, Kaylyn Hallberg and daughter, July, and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Womack honored Mr. Rulon Sheffer's 80th birthday and Mrs. Sheffer's 75th by taking them to dinner at the Idle Isle, Wednesday, August 24. Thursday dinner guests at the Wayne Dalton home were Charles Dalton and Lorin Bingham. Later they went to the fair and the rodeo. Mrs. Dalton visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Sheffer in Ogden Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Dalton enjoyed a lunch in Brigham City on Sunday. They also took a drive through the canyon and visited the Keith Womack family in Logan. won by Lina Hall. The Special Interest Group held Family Home Evening at Leatha Michaelis. Ten were present. The Garland Ladies Club held their Self-Cultu- re summer party Thursday, August 11 at the home of Mrs. Henry Brown. The Social Activity Committee was in charge of the party which includes Mrs. Henry Brown, chairwoman; Hattie Hodge, Lida Bowman, Mrs. Fred Viebell, and Louise Harper. A delicious luncheon was served on small tables in the garden to 19 club members, 2 guests and 6 from the pro- gram. After lunch an interesting program was given. The program consisted of two songs from Michelle and Denise Harper, mono-ac- t "Films" by Tom Frank, Bart Chadaz played three songs on the accordian. Tammy Goody gave a reading entitled "Peanut Butter, and Bjorkman Lyn-ett- e two sang songs. Mrs. Larry Butler wil have an open house at her Kiddie College from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday to introduce the students to their teacher and let them see the facilities. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Timothy are enjoying the company of their daughter-in-laGloria Timothy and her two sons, Dell and Bert, from Buhl, Idaho. They are staying a week with the Timothys and will also be visiting Gloria's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Christensen in Plain City. Kenneth Timothy has been on business in Elko, Nev. and will join the family this Friday. Plymouth Notes . Two more of former E. Garland men have died in the past week, - Dean Grover of Ogden and Maurice Rhodes also of Garland. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Grover attended funeral services in Brigham City Friday for r"earl s sister, Mrs. Myrtle Miller. The familv of the late J. P. Christensen held a reunion in Grandpa's garden. They were all there but Bovd and family, who are in Okinawa. Ihey were Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Christensen, Calif.; Dr. and Mrs. Clyde Christensen; Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Christensen, Salt Lake City; Bruce Christensen and family in from Ohio, in the process of moving to Hemmett, Calif. They have been with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Al Fuhriman. Mr. Matt Davis of Ogden and Fred Davis of Preston stopped in on Mrs. Hannah Davis Wednesday. Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Davis took their mother to Woods Cross for the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Couch.
