Sept. 1, 1977, The Farmer The contest, sponsored by the Farm Bureau and Inter-mounta- in Farmers Associwill start at the county ation level with winners progressing to the state level. The essay should express the views of the person entering the contest. He or she may elaborate in explaining his or her opinion. Reference for basic information may be used. Entrants are divided into four age classes. The classes are, I. elementary school age; II. junior high school age; III. high school students; IV. adults. Box Elder County first place winners will receive $20, second place winners, $15, and third place winners, A representative of the Social Security office will be at the Bear River Valley $10. State winners will be awarded $50 for a first place essay, $25 for second place and $10 for third place.
