Mr. and Mrs. Wilson (Bill) Ellis returned home Wednesday evening after attending a Utah Bankers Association Convention held at the Jackson Lake Lodge. Also attending the convention were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Webb. Dr. and Mrs. Wendell White and family attended a family gathering at the home of Mrs. White's mother. Mrs. Katie Nielsen in Hyrum, on July 4, after which they attended the festivities in Hyrum. Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Callister and son, Carson, attended a family dinner party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Allen and family in East Garland Sunday. The occasion was honoring Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allen of Boise who had their baby blessed in sacrament meeting Sunday. His grandfather, Lee Allen, officiated and gave him the name of Robert Andrew Allen. Others attending the dinner party were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Allen and daughters, Amy and Allyson of Beaver Dam, David Shaw of Tremonton and Mr. and Mrs. Kip Anderson and son, Justin, of Tremonton, Mrs. Elma Petersen of Fielding. They accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Grant Callister to Fillmore for the annual Fillmore celebration Saturday through Monday, where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Robison and Mrs. Millie Callister. They went on to Durango where they traveled to Silverton on a narrow gauge steam engine train. They visited at Mesa Verda, saw. cliff dwellings, Royal Gorge, interesting points in Colorado Springs and came home by way of Cheyenne. Last week Mr. and Mrs. Con Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Fuhriman and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Fuhriman and son, Doug, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Peter (Joyce) Kelly of Hyrum enjoyed a day in Logan Canyon where they had a picnic and social to honor Mr. and Mrs. Lee Fuhriman who were each observing their birthday. Tuesday Mrs. Lee Fuhriman accompanied Mrs. Con Hansen to the Salt Lake airport where Mrs. Hansen left by plane for Mission Viejo, Calif, to spend a couple of weeks visiting her and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Mary) Mendoza and daughters. Arriving at the airport to accompany Mrs. Fuhriman home was her daughter, Mrs. Cheryl Giles, who has been visiting her brother-in-laand sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Dixie) Dursteller, in Seattle. The Tremonton-Garlan- d Bridge Club met with Mrs. Meldred Baer as hostess last week. Mrs. Vera Westergard was a special guest. Prizes went to Mrs. Beth Foxley and Mrs. Shumway. Light refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. James Jenkins and family of West Hills, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hess and family of St. George, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Harris and family of Salt Lake City visited Mrs. Phoebe Henrie last week.
