White will be honored by his family and friends on the occasion of his 90th birthday at the Bowcutt Reception Center, 105 West Main in Tremonton, on Sunday, July 10, between the hours of 1 and 4 p.m. Everyone is invited and no gifts requested. Dr. White is best known in Tremonton because of the Valley Hospital which he constructed in 1928, and which served this area continuously until 1976. He practiced medicine here most of that time, and at one period during World War II he was the only doctor in the valley. He delivered close to 5,000 babies during those years, and still has many people he meets greet him by saying, "You helped bring me into this world." During his early years he was a school teacher, a principal and a superintendent of schools. Then he entered medical school and graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 1921. He came to Tremonton in 1922 and resided here until May 1973 when he moved to Provo, Utah. He lives near his daughter at 1350 Cherry Lane and still does most of his own yard work, part of his own cooking and attends the health spa and church meetings regularly.
