Mrs. Bill (Verda) Archibald and family of Idaho Falls were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Steed Estep. Lynn Petersen accompanied Mrs. Linnay Bourne of West Fielding to Salt Lake City on Friday where they visited Mrs. Brenda Christ-ense- n and on the way home visited Mr. and Mrs. Allan Baker at Layton. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Starr visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ray B. Woodland in Brig-haCity on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Roche of Tremonton were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Hess. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Lamb and daughter, Janet, were in Salt Lake City on business on Monday. Mrs. Jay Hess visited in Layton Saturday with her daughter, Mrs. Mike (Ter-essPrince. Mr. and Mrs. Norris Hess visited Diane at the hospital on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Oleen of Crescent, visited Sunday with Ray Whiting. Mindi, Marni and Miressa Montgomery, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Montgomery of Brigham City are staying with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Secrist, while their parents are on vacation. Visiting with Ethel Rudd on Friday were Dr. and Mrs. Blaine Pierson and family of Kaysville and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Rudd of Layton. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Coombs and family of Salt Lake City, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Lamb Saturday. Their daughter, Penny, stayed to spend the weekend with the Lambs. Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Mason and daughters, Sharla and Heidi, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Taylor and family of Brig-haCity. In the afternoon all of the above mentioned went fishing at the Wellsville reservoir. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Williams of Malad visited Mr. m and Mrs. Dee Williams Sat- - their daughter, Tami, and Bill Justensen, spent a few Mrs. Thomas H;i rper spent Thursday through Saturday in Ogden with Mr and Mi Dale Gardner. While there she attended the seminary graduation of her son, Randy. She also visited her son, Earl C. Harper, who is in the Holy Cross Hospital. Friday evening Mrs. Harper attended the production of "Moroni" at the Salt Palace. Mrs. Harper spent Sunday night in Sunset with Mr. and JWrs.., Darrall Harper, then returned home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Dal-to- n visited Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Sheffer, and Kaylin Hallberg and daughter, July. On May 11 Mr. and Mrs. Dalton attended the Temple marriage of their daughter and George and LaRae Worley. Mr. and Mrs. Dalton and their son, Chad, took a short (rip. They went through the Manti Temple and then on through Zion National Park. They stopped in Hurricane where Mrs. Dalton had graduated and visited friends and relatives and then went on to St. George, Las Vegas and days in Bountiful visiting Mr. and Mrs. Russell Justensen and family of San Francisco. Mrs. Allred attended a baby shower for her granddaughter, Mrs. Lewis Dam. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Allred, Mrs. Letitia Sorensen is home again. She spent several days with her children in Bountiful and Salt Lake City. Mrs. Esther Clough came home from the hospital during the week where she has Cor-bridg- e. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Call went to Provo to see their grandson, Don Lee Rogers, Jr. before he left for California to be married. Afterwards, the Calls stopped in to visit vMr. Call's brother, Ambrose Call. Saturday visitors at the Call home were Ella Stewart of Clarkston and the Earl T. Hess family. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Don Limb attended a golden wedding anniversary in Farmington for Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hess. Afterwards they went to Bountiful to see Mr. and Mrs. Horace Rhodes and Mr. and Mrs. George Evans. Thursday, Mrs. Ray Limb and daughter, Amy, visited the Don Limbs. Mr. and Mrs. George Hales and friends from Preston took a trip into Canada where they went through the Cargston Temple. They also " went through the Idaho Falls Temple. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Hansen and family of Tremonton were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hal Mason. Dan L. Whiting and his son, Jason of Roy, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Whiting on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Hess visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norris Hess Saturday. The Rodney Hesses have moved to Boise, Idaho. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Ray Whiting attended a piano recital for Lori Sandall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Sandall of Tremonton at the Garland Chapel, under the direction of Ruth Ann Rose. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Lamb were Mrs. Verna Jean Wakely and children, Conrad, Stephanie and Jason of Bancroft, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Taylor of Brigham City took their mother, Mrs. Arthur Marriott to Springville Friday where she entered some of her beautiful quilts in their quilt display at the Art Cen- ter. Arthur accompanied them to Ogden and spent the time with his son, Carl, and "Moroni". Mrs. Marriott went for him Saturday. The Marriotts were at the Paul Hale's home in Tremonton Tuesday and helped their granddaughter, celebrate her eighth Lori-an- n birthday. The other grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Hales were also there. Mr. and Mrs. Emery Marriott were in Lima, Mont, for four days over the weekend, at the home of their daughter, Camille, and family and attended their daughter's graduation exercises. Mr. and Mrs. Lorus King were in Provo Friday and a session at the Temple where a relative, Carol White and Tracy Erdmann were married. In the evening they attended the reception at Mapleton and had a nice visit Bob with their son-in-la- Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Carter left last Friday for Free-mon- t, California. The purpose of this trip was to attend the birthday party of Mrs. Kimmie Fudenna. The Carter's vacationed until Tuesday when they returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hall enjoyed dinner with the Garland Stake Presidency and the Regional Representative at the home of their daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Jensen Sunday. ' Mr. and Mrs George Kir-b- y made a trip to Lima, Montana to attend the graduation exercises of Mrs. Kir-by- 's granddaughter, Kristie Cheney. The Kirby's left Sat urday and returned home Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Timothy traveled to Ogden Sunday to Max and Beverly Flinders. At the Flinder's they were also met by Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Timothy. They all went to church in the North Ogden Ward and enjoyed dinner back at the White, who had flown in from St. Louis. The Kings were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Whortley. In Salt Lake they visited Mr. and Mrs. George Watkins. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hansen were in Salt Lake during the week on business and visited their children, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Coombs attended the seminary graduation in Ogden for a nephew, son of Mrs. Fay Clarke. They were to Claire's Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Eli Howard of Ogden were with the Gib Alfreds Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Homer took them to dinner in Logan Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Rhodes had guests from Australia, Mr. and Mrs. Samson. They had been baptized by Vaughan while he was there on his mission. The Rhodes accompanied them to Ogden and the Temple where they had their work done. Ursel Rhodes was in from his Nevada ranch for a. couple of days during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Eph Peterson were in Brigham City Tuesday evening for the viewing of her brother, Elick J. Sorensen of Inglewood, Calif. son-in-la- Flinder's. Funeral services had been previously held in the Mar Vista Ward in California. The Petersons were down again Wednesday forenoon for another viewing and met with family members. They then attended graveside services at the Brigham City Cemetery. Mrs. Voylet Grover and Mrs. Essie Peterson of the Stagecoach Camp and County President Dolly Iver-sowere guests of the Midland Camp of Daughters of the Pioneers on a trip to Salt n Lake City. Monday they went in the Senioir Citizen's mini bus with Ed Kerr driving. They visited the old Kearns Building which was later the old Governor's Mansion and now houses the State Historical Society. It is in the process of renovation to be returned to the Governor's Mansion. They then went to the Capitol where Ed Kerr showed them around after lunch at the cafeteria. '.They saw the House and Senate Chambers, offices and computers, etc. f 1 mi 2 Woodruffs will soon move into a new home there. They all visited Dr. and Mrs. Blaine Pierson in Kaysville also. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Whiting C - - IV, attended a breakfast at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thayne Jones in Fielding Saturday morning, honoring Ricky Jones prior to his leaving for the mission home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Nish will leave the fore part of the II v V "::; 1 r J 3 week for Ely, Nev. where they will attend the funeral for a nephew, Johnny Strouse on Tuesday. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Estep Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Dean Smith, children, Teri and Connie, of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pierson and son, Russell, Dr. and Mrs. Blaine Pierson and family of Kaysville, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Woodruff of Bountiful went to Salt Lake Saturday where Elder Russell Pierson entered the mission home prior to his leaving for an LDS Mission to Manchester, England. Sunday they attended a missionary homecoming for the Lloyds' son, Paul, who had served in the South American Mission. Mr. and Mrs. Orland Hess and Mr. and Mrs. James attended a with ' friends from the same trailer court in Yuma, Ariz. They all had dinner at Andy's Restaurant. The Hesses were overnight guests Saturday of the Terry Hesses. The Nessens spent Saturday and Sunday with their son, LaMont and family. Mrs. Leon Kotter had the pleasure of her mother's company for several days last week. She is Mrs. Vernal Anderson of Sandy. Her sister, Karen Anderson, is visiting with her this week. Earl and I visited his Mom Sunday in Brigham City. She is a patient in the Brigham Hospital and at this time is a pretty sick little person. We do hope her condition improves. Mr. and Mrs. Veryl Nessen were pleasantly surprised Thursday when Terry and Mary White and baby dropped by. They were enroute from Amarillo, Tex. to Idaho. The Whites lived here a few years ago and we have really missed them.
