Show The Obituaries DELLE St : DURTON WOOD r ti Belle Burton Wood, 69, of Garland, died Tuesday, May 10, 1977, at her home in Garland of cancer. She was born January 24, 1908, in Ogden, Utah to John F. and Florence Porter Bur- . ton. She married Charles J. June 11, 1930, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Wood on She was reared and edu- cated in the Bear River Valley, and after her marriage made her home in Garland. She had worked as a bookkeeper in their family business for many years. She was a member of the Garland First LDS Ward and had served in the past in the YWMIA, visited Sharon Jensen's W. grandchildren, five great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Burton, Preston, Ida- Le-Gra- Garland Way Aliens Hog Family ary. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Allen had their family home for Mother's Day. They were Marilyn Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Allen and daughters of Smithfield, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Allen and family of Beaver Dam. They also received a call from Mr. and Mrs. David Boss and family of Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Allred had visit Saturday from GLORIA FUJIKAWA Mrs. Kazuko Gloria Fujikawa, 46, of Honeyville, died Sunday morning, May 8, 1977, at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City of cancer. She was born Oct. 5, 1930, in Vacaville, Calif., a daughter of Takematsu and Miyoe Inouye. She was married to Kenji Fujikawa on Dec. 5, 1953, in Honeyville. She was a member of the Buddhist Church and had served as a Sunday School teacher. Surviving are her husband of Honeyville; two sons and one daughter, Thomas Tam-otsa- u Fujikawa, Salt Lake City; Kelly Kenji Fujikawa, Honeyville; Alice Natsuko Fujikawa, Logan; her mother of Hooper. Also surviving are two brothers and three sisters, George S. Inouye, Hooper; Take Inouye, Glenns Ferry, Idaho; Mrs. Jane F. Shioji, Sunset; Mrs. Miyoko Tak-ush- i, Honolulu, Hawaii; Miss Chiyoko B. Inouye, Roy. their granddaughter Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Honeyville Buddhist Church with Rev. Kazumasa Nino officiating. Interment was in the Honeyville Cemetery. SHELLEY DAWN GREENE She was a member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Deseret Camp. She served as deputy clerk under three judges from September 1959 to July 1975. She was owner and operator of "The Pie Dump" at Box Elder High School from 1945 to 1950. Surviving are one son, Jerry L. Hess, Brigham City; her father of Modesto, Calif. ; .the following brothers and sisters: Horace Alvah Lish Jr., Deweyville; M. Elmo Lish, Brigham City; Mrs. Paul (Gloria) Bond, Riverbank, Calif.; Mrs. George (Lucy) Smith, Sunset. Mrs. Irene LaZoe Lish Hess, 64, of 218 S. 1st N., died Sunday, May 8, 1977, at her home of cancer. Mrs. Hess was born July 19, 1912, in Deweyville, Utah, a daughter of Horace Alvah Sr. and LaZoe Edna Fansler Lish. She was married to Cyril Hess on Nov. 22, B. (Sid) 1932, in Brigham City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He died Oct. 5, 1965. She was coordinator of the junior Sunday School, MIA teacher, MIA secretary and Relief Society counselor in the LDS Church. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary No. 2919 of which she was State Mother of the Year 1969-197- 0. Shelley Dawn Greene, fant daughter of Charles David and Mary Ellen Jensen Greene of Bear River City died April 22, 1977, at the McKay-De- e Hospital in Ogden shortly after birth of in- prematurity. Parents are members of the LDS Church. Surviving are parents of Bear River City, one sister and one brother, Karen Lois and James Vay, both of Bear River City. Also surviving are grandparents, Mrs. Lois Greene of Delta, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. Vay S. Jensen of Bear River City. Great grandparents are Leon P. Jensen, Bear River City, and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Davis of Delta, Utah. Graveside services were conducted April 25, 1977 in the Bear River City Cemetery under the direction of Rogers Mortuary. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Brigham City 4th Ward LDS Zftapel. Interment was in the ham City Cemetery. Brig- ZELDA SUMMERS SMITH Zelda Summers Smith, 58, of Draper, Utah, died May 2, 1977, in a Salt Lake hospital of a long illness. She was born May 8, 1918, in Bothwell, Utah, to James and Tennie Thomsen Summers. She married Gerd H. Smith in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 5, 1943. She was a former stake and ward organist, served in many church auxiliary organizations, and also active in musical circles. Surviving are her husband, one son and one daughter, Sherman, Ogden, Utah and Mrs. Bryce (Carole) Jones, Sandy, Utah. Also surviving are five CUTS IT ! Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in the Garland Tabernacle. The group traveled to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holts of Tremonton to enjoy Mother's Day dinner. Patriarch and Mrs. James White held Mother's Day dinner at their home and enjoyed the company of Mr. and Mrs. Alan James of Rupert, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Richards of Riverside and their two girls, Jamie and Lisa, Mr. and Mrs. David Archibald, Clarkston, and Mrs. Hattie Hodge of Garland. They spent the rest of the day visiting and enjoying themselves. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Carter enjoyed the presence of Ralph's family for Mother's Day dinner. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Byron Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Maisak and family from Roy and Mrs. JoAnn Greer and family from Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Coombs blessed their second baby son last fast Sunday in the Garland Second Ward. They named the baby Kevin Andrew Coombs. After Mrs. Coombs held a dinner at her home. In attendance to the blessing and the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. CM. Funk of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Gardner of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Coombs of Fielding, Bishop and Mrs. Andrew Funk and family, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Coombs of Brigham, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Coombs and family of Garland and Roland Coombs of fielding.
