He weighed 6 pounds, By Essie Peterson By Mary Ann Maughan By La Donna Hess Mr. and Mrs. Ray Limb of Mrs. A.R. Hodge recently returned from a two month stay in California. While there, she stayed with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel (Lois) of Burlingame for one month. When she was staying with the Begoviches she attended a basketball game at Burkley College to see her grandson, Daniel Begovich play. Daniel received the award for most valuable player and was elected president of his fraternity. For the next month Mrs. Hodge stayed with her other daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Gary (Gay) Miller of Watsonville. She attended her grandson, Burke Miller's at Berkley College to see her Sunset House, Hearst's Castle and many other places of interest. Last Monday night the Laketown and their children, Amy, Brian and Don Ray, spent Friday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Limb. Mr. and Mrs. Limb are enjoying a visit from their Linda, granddaughter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gail Boan of Downey. Mrs. Fern Huish accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Burton Huish of Twin Falls to the Salt Lake airport Thursday to meet Nancy Huish, who has been attending school in Hawaii. Mrs. Dean Hardman and her mother, Mrs. George Harris, spent Thursday and Friday in Salt Lake City where they attended Bonnie Taylor's graduation. Bonnie is Mrs. Hardman's sister. She received a masters de-- i gree in nursing, i The Harman'-s- son, Brent, of California came home for the weekend. The family took Brent to the airport on Sunday and enjoyed a picnic lunch with their daughter, Shari, on the way. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Marriott attended a relative's funeral in Brigham City Monday. Mr. Carl Marriott and girls visited the Arthur Marriotts on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Special - Interest Family Home Evening was held at Mrs. Hodge's. Fourteen people were in attendance. Light refreshments were served and the lesson was on the study of the Book of Mormon. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brown enjoyed the company of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Brown and daughter, Sherri, of and Mr. and Mrs. David Latin of Bountiful, for Sunday dinner and an afternoon of visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hall joined Mr. and Mrs. Mike Richardson over in Logan for Sunday dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Beal of Armington were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Johns Monday night. The Johns also received the pleasure of visiting with Mary Ann Gilmore of Bountiful and her sister, Mrs. Sterling Bartor of Scotia, N. Y. last Tuesday. Mrs. Ruth Shumway attended the graduation exercises of her son, Steve Shumway, at BYU last Friday. Steve graduated in accounting, also while in the vicinity Mrs. Shumway visited her mother, Mary Lindsay, in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Timothy along with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Holt and children, Christy and Bryan of Tremonton, Mr. and Mrs. Max Cen-tervil- Rose enjoyed dinner at Maddox on Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hodges visited in Rubieoux, Calif, at their son's home, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hodges. When they returned home Mrs. Rozella Hill of Ogden spent a few days with them. The Hodges spent the weekend in St. Anthony, Idaho, visiting Ethel Hodges and in Idaho Falls with Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Hodges. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Dalt-o- n visited Mr. and Mrs. Vern Nelson in American Falls, Idaho on Saturday. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Dal-totheir son, Chad, and Wendy Hancey attended stake conference in Ogden. Afterwards they had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Sheffer. Kaylin Hallberg and daughter, July, were there also. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Oyler and Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Pierson were in Salt Lake City Saturday for the Icecapades. Mr. and Mrs. Don Andersen and their family were in attendance also on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Oyler of Bountiful stopped by at the Leon Andersen home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn King had as dinner guests Saturday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Verlyn King and family of Garland. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Sorensen, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Croft of Powell, Wyo. Karen Grover hosted a bridal shower for her friend, Terry Hunter at her home, Wednesday evening. Mrs. Dora Shaffer spent three days in Brigham with her daughter, JoAnne and family. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Fryer and daughter, Carolyn, of Salt Lake and Mrs. Richard Petersen of Fielding, spent Sunday afternoon with their mother, Mrs. Letitia Soren-sen. Mrs. Lynn Sorensen came home for the hospital during the week with a. new baby of Ogden, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Timothy of Salt Lake, attended the "Show Me How Fair" and the Ice Capades at the Salt Palace after which they went out to eat. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Marshall of England. The couple exchanged nuptial vows in the London LDS Temple on March 12. Mr. and Mrs. George Falk and family of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Allan Hooper, of Provo, Velien Taits and Julie Jackson of Brigham Young University in Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mozingo and Mrs. Bernice Tait of Honeyville attended' sacrament meeting in the Tremonton First Ward Sunday evening honoring Elder David Falk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewayne Falk prior to his leaving for a New York-NeYork City LDS Mission. He will enter the Mission Home in Salt Lake City May 7. Following the meeting, a group of relatives and friends gathered at the Falk home to further visit with David. Dr. Burton demonstrated the history of musical instruments beginning with primitive sticks and working up to the present day strings. He held the faculty and pupils alike fascinated with his informative and fun presentation which included such things as "playing" a balloon.
