'Reflections' Concert Features Local Talent The a Reflections, men's singing group wo- in will present a concert Thursday, May 5 at the Boweutt Reception Center. The concert will include music by Houston Bright, vRuth ,13. Lehenbaue- r- and .arrangements and by L. Zaninel-li- , Simeone. Featured guest soloist for the evening will be Mrs. Evelyn M. Harris, an instructor at Weber State College, where she teaches Accompaniment and Pedagogy and is director of the Voce H. Coeds. She is a graduate of Brig-haYoung University, with a M.A. in Vocal Music. Her accompanist will be Miss Mary Ray Johnson, an assistant professor at Weber State College. She teaches Piano, Theory, Literature and Accompaniment. She is a graduate of the Bastman School of Music, with M.A. in Piano. an Mrs. Harris and Miss Johnson travel extensively and give many performances in the intermountian area. The Reflections are posed of women from the Tremonton-Garlan- area d and meet weekly for rehearsal. They were .formed almost two years ago in response to a need for a continuing musical group. Up to that point there had been few opportunities for married women out of high school or college to expand their talents in the musical field. They have performed at various civic and service clubs, the Festival of Trees, association parties and various LDS ward functions. Members of the Reflections are: Lynne Allen, Bon nie Ashby, Lyn Austin, Pat Bowen, Patsy Creager, Rhonda Gephart, Sydna Harris, Charlene Hill, Kathy Jensen, Marcia LaBarge, Theola Ritter, with Carole Rhodes as president and Sharyn Bailey, as secretary; They are accompanied by-- , Christine Mason and Ruth Ann Rose and directed by Beth G. Lefgren. Mrs. David Lefgren, as director; has brought several years of previous experience in the field of performing music. During her years at Weber State College, she performed in Weber State sang with and Singers, served as student director of the Voce Coeds. The program will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited for an evening of family entertainment. Admission is free.
