I get so lonesome down here away from my friends and neigh- - Law Wives FAeet The wives of the Box Elder County Law Enforcement met on Nov. 18 at the Civic Center in Tremonton. Plans and suggestions were discussed for the future meetings and yearly events coming up. Barbara Hunsaker has made up a pair of Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls to be raffled off on Dec. 1. They stand about 24 inches high. Tickets will be on sale at the Tremonton Police Department and by the Police officers wives. The price will be one for 25 cents or five for $1.00. Shauna Payne also gave an interesting and informative demonstration on the Amana Radarange. Literary Club PAeefs Mrs. Nona Reed was hostess to the Tremonton-Gar-lan- d Literary Club on Wednesday evening with Mrs. Margaret Spencer of tremonton as special guest. Six en members were preset ii A very interesting book review was given by Mrs. Belle Wood, entitled, "Roots" by Alex Haley. He tells the fascinating story of his search on three continents, through seven generations for his ancestors. Through its eloquence, this passionate narrative will speak to all people and to all generations. Light and delicious refreshments were served by the hostess. Tremonton Way Birthday Celebration Held A birthday celebration was held Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Theurer and family, in Bonnie's honor. Her guests were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hall of Garland and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Theurer of Tremonton. Spending the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Ward were Mr. and Mrs. Mrs. Lois Jenkins of Thatcher visited with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Andersen Thursday afternoon. Visiting with the Andersen's on Friday were Mrs. Jack Winn and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Messinger of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Petersen of Bothwell visited with the Andersen's on Sunday afternoon. Ken Evans of Ogden. The JFF Club was held Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Ina Clair Fuller, with Mrs. Afton Checketts helping as hostess. Fourteen members were present. The Honeyville School children received quite a treat last week. The whole school made a trip to the Box Elder High School to attend a performance of "Cinderella." This famous fairy tale was put on by the Children's Theatre. Honeyville just keeps on increasing in number. Three new families have joined our ranks recently. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Butler have moved into the Cook home. The Paul Durham family are now living in the Oscar home and Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Bingham are trying to get settled into their new home. We would like to extend a nice Honeyville welcome to these new members of our town. Mrs. Mary Gardner and her mother, Mrs. Hazel Hoeft spent part of the weekend in Vernal. The occasion for the trip was to celebrate a double 50th wedding anniversary for Mrs. Gardner's twin uncles and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hacking and Mr. and Mrs. Iowa Hacking. The twins were both married on the same day 50 years ago and are both still married to the: same partner, which is quite " unique. The Widows Party for the month of November was held at the home of Mrs. Janice Nicholas. After a nice dinner, the ladies planned their Christmas party for next month. The Box Elder North Stake roadshows were presented recently to an enthusiastic crowd. Members of Honeyville and Harper met jointly at the ward meeting house to witness the performances. The Honeyville youth put July Administration construction projects CSS champion auctioneer of the Washington State Auctioneering Association competition held in Seattle. He competed among 65 auctioneers-includi- ng his father, a professional auctioneer-wh- o he beat out. Ages of the competitors ranged from 16 to 60. Both Jeff and his father were included in the 13 finalists. How did it feel to have his son beat him? Stokes was asked after the contest by a Seattle television reporter. "He had a good teacher," the father responded.
