Utah are hosting an open house for Bishop Grant's parents, Uleda and Scott Grant in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary. The event will be held Saturday, December 4, in the Howeli Ward Cultural Hall from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. A program is scheduled at 9:00 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Grant were married in December 1926 in Ogden. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in Blue Creek at first, on the Lewis Grant Ranch where Mr. Grant was engaged in dry farming, raising horses for the U. S. He has also earned a master's degree in agricultural economics from Utah State. While at Utah State he served as an officer of the Delta Phi Kappa fraternity. Lyle has also served an LDS Mission to Taiwan. A reception honoring the couple will be held on Dec. 4, in the Garland Stake Center from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. A dance will be held as part of the reception. Attending the bride will be RoLavne her sister-in-laJensen, Jean Davis, and Teri Ann Parkinson. Best man will be his brother,. Celebrate 50 Years If Uleda Fredricksen, was born in Gunnison, Sanpete County, the daughter of Ole Chris and Mary Jensen Fredricksen. She was a school teacher and taught in southern Utah, Garfield, and Box Elder Counties. She is still a teacher in the Primary and has served in the LDS Church as Relief Society president for 11 years and on the Sunday School and Primary Stake Boards and as teacher of the Gospel Doctrine Class for a time. Mrs. Grant served in the North Box Elder Farm Bureau presidency for some Jirne. Her hobby has been geneology and has devoted much of her time in geneo-logicresearch and compiling records. They are the parents of Bishop Waldo F. Grant and al have five grandchildren, Brian, Todd, Melanie, Gregg and Lana. Brian, the eldest, is serving an LDS Mission in Portland, Ore. at the present time.
