" ;ti At 10 a.m. Bear River Valley Hospital dedication set Saturday C7 Governor Calvin Rampton to speak A brand d. Gov. Rampton new, squeaky clean and, above all, modern health care facility will be unveiled to Bear River Valley residents Saturday when the $1.5 million Bear River Valley Hospital is dedicated. A year in construction and several years in planning, the new hospital, located at 440 West Sixth North, in Tremonton, will begin accepting patients Oct. 21 when patients at the old Valley Hospital will be transferred. Governor Calvin Rampton will be on hand at the 10 a.m. dedication ceremony, along with other dignitaries. Following the ceremony, the public is invited to tour the building until 6 p.m. Open house tours will also be available on Sunday, Oct. 17, from 2 to 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend the dedication ceremonies which will be held in front of the hospital, near the flagpole. North Box Eld- er Hospital Association Chairman Mel Foxley will preside. In addition to Governor Rampton, remarks will be made by Scott S. Parker, president of Intermountain Health Care (IHC), the nonprofit will organization which operate the facility. Dr. Rulon F. Garfield, Department of Health, Education and Welfare, located in Den regional director, Colo, will also speak briefly. Dr. Garfield, a Tremonton native, heads the regional office of the federal agency which contributed $618,000 in n matching funds towards hospital construction.
