"I don't have time for too many hobbies. It seems like I've always had a family," Mrs. Lish said. But she does like cooking, which is a necessity with eight children. The family has lived in their present beautiful home for the past 15 years. We've added a family room on in the . carport and tore a wall out of the kitchen," ' Mrs. Lish said. "It seemed like our family was just too big to sit around the table." The next addition was an office for Junior, "First we gave him a bedroom," Mrs.Lish recalled. "Then the family grew " and the business grew so we kicked him out and added an office!' "We sure enjoy our family," she said proudly. "The way the boys have worked out in the business turned out nice." "It's really a joy when you can keep the : family with you in the business, and keep it I a family affair," she concluded. Lish shares the following family- tested recipesiwnrour readers this wees: Lish es Like Large Famil v "I try to help him as his personal secretary," she said. "I do as much for him as I can, but a family and Relief Society "Mrs, "Life would be so empty without a family," said this week's Good Cook, Mrs. Junior (Sherrie) Lish of East Tremonton. "There's nothing so special as a large family. Five or six are nothing to take care of. I feel real bad for people who don't want a family," she said. With eight children of her own, Mrs. Lish speaks with the voice of experience. "There's nothing pleases me more than to have the whole family home for a special occasion," she observed. Large families are something she is accustomed to. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Chournos of East Tremonton, Mrs. Lish is one of six children. "Junior had 13 in his family in Dewey-ville,- " she added. Out of all of those brothers and sisters, Mrs. Lish and her husband claim the honor of having the largest family to date. Mrs. Lish's husband operates a growing trucking firm which used to be simply Junior Lish, but now has an "and sons" behind it. The couple, it seems, had plans to raise their own help. Drew, 23, recently graduated from the University of Utah with a business degree. Now he's working with his dad, driving truck. "We hope to make him more useful than that," his mother said. Brian, 21, is married and has one boy, "so that makes us grandparents," Mrs. Lish said. He also works for his dad. Mark, 20, is on an LDS mission to Italy. "You can see it took me a while to get a girl," Mrs. Lish said. The string of boys was broken by the birth of Kristie, now a sepforjitBear River High School. A cheerleader this year, Kristie was a last year. With member of the so many boys around, she got acquainted with sports early. She participates on the varsity volleyball and basketball team in girls sports at school. "She keeps me busy chasing after her," Mrs. Lish acknowledged. "She even ran track one year." The Lish family is rounded out by Shawn, 16, a sophomore; Ginger, a fifth grader; Wade, 8, "a little league football player," according to his Mom; and Heidi, 3. "They're all spoiled, but this one's really spoiled," Mrs. Lish said of Heidi. Mr. and Mrs. Lish are both active in the Tremonton Fourth Ward. She is a counselor in the Relief Society Junior was recently named second counselor in the Bishopric. He used to serve in the Stake Sunday School Presidency. Both dabble a bit in local politics. Junior serves as president and Mrs. Lish serves as s'Tielary of the Tremonton 'Citizen's" Like most wives, Mrs. Lish is her husband's right arm.
