TENNLS Richardson Family In Talent Contest Meets At Reunion WINNERS-Winne- rs ers Miss Paula Forsberg and Miss Jo Ann Coombs won first place in the Farm Bureau Junior division talent show. They will next compete at the State Fair in Salt Lake City, September sixth. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Anderson are enjoying a visit this week from their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Rytting and children, Sherri, Jeffrey and Michael of Santa Rosa, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Coombs and children, Jo Ann and Kirk, took a trip to Big Piney and Pindale, Wyoming Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde on and family of Logan were Sunday visitors of the Milton Bywater family. Mrs. Leo Farnsworth attended the farewell of Cory Sor-ens- Plymouth Way Robins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robbins in monton First Ward Sunday. Ron Dell Mrs. Darrall Godfrey and daughter, Dene, spent Tuesday afternoon in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Darrall Godfrey visited Mrs. Godfrey's mother, Mrs. Elwin Godfrey of Clarkston. Sixty two members of her family met at a reunion at the Deweyville park. She is the mother of eight chifive of whom are ldren, now deceased, 22 grandchildren, 57 great grandchiand 7 great-gre- at ldren, grandchildren. Her daughters are Mrs. Myrl (Gladys) Norr, Mrs. Lynn (Mae) and Mrs. E.A. Wheatley, (Evelyn) Christensen. The family had dinner and spent the remainder of the afternoon visiting. Mrs. Gladys Greenwood and her grandson, John Greenwood, arrived from North Wales, England, last week. Mrs. Greenwood is a cousin of Mrs. Clarence Fryer and the ladies had not seen each other for about fifteen years. Bob Greenwood, Salt Lake City, continued onto Yellowstone Park for some sightseeing with his son, John, and Mrs. Greenwood remained for a visit with Mrs. Fryer. Saturday the E steps were visited by Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Pierson and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Armstrong of Tabu Alberta, Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Estep went to Logan Monday to visit Clara Hoskins. . Mrs. Mrs. Odean Estep and daughters, Kristine and Carolyn, and Mrs. Seymour Hill enjoyed Monday in Ogden. ! Portage Way Relief Society Softball Team Wins lla Mae John Portage Ward Relief Society soft ball team won first place in the Malad Stake tournaments last week. The sisters who played on the team were: Joan Gibbs, Marlene John, Onetta Howell, 'i Aleta Nielsen, Jane Nielsen, Peggy John, Joyce John, Cheryle Allen, Mau-rin- e; Gibbs. Da Mae John and Dianna Harris. Misses Jill Moon and Karen Price of Cherry Creek also played with the Portage ladies. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hall and family of Mc Cook, Nebraska were guests of Mr. Halls parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Hall Tuesdayand Wednesday. The Hall family had come from Nebraska to enroll their son Bradley at the BYU. Bradley was awarPresidents 4 year ded the Thursday the scholarship. Halls visited Mrs. Halls parents Mr. and Mrs. Harold Castleton of Logan and formerly of Garland. They returned to Nebraska Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Thomas visited Mr. and Mrs. Dale Thomas and family and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Shaw and family in Brigham The : City, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Steven L. Harris and family returned home Monday after a five day vacation to Boulder, Colorado where they visited Mr. and Harris' brother sister Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sessions and family. Relief Society President, Fay V, Thomas hosted a social and business party at her home Monday to honor the visiting teachers of the ward. All had a most enjoyable time. Harris left for Salt Lake City Monday where she will spend the forepart of the week with her Mr. son and daughter and Mrs. Phil Harris and family. Tuesday Mr. and Mrs. visited Wendell C. Hall Mrs. Hall's brother and sisMr. and Mrs. ter Woodrow Halford at Magna. Woodrow has been very ill. Mr. and Mrs. Devere Harris and daughter Lorl and grandsons Rodney Cobia and Terral Budge of Logan attended sacrament meeting at the Liberty ward Sunday. They stayed overnight at their summer home in Liberty, then Monday took the young boys back to Logan and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Vern Budge and family. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. James E. John this week are Mr. and Mrs. LaVern John of Parma, Idaho. The guests have Mr. also visited and Mrs. Theodore Hoskins and Mr. and Mrs. Wynn John. Mrs. Brenda Love and daughters of Salt Lake City visited Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Hall Wednesday and Thursday. Miss Marlene John moved back to Lake Town Monday to prepare to teach school this year. Miss John has at the spent the summer home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wynn John. She has been enrolled in summer in-la- w, in-la- w, school and ?taugh summer homemaking. This year she will be teaching;1 homemaking, physical education and business classes. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Morris were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Johnston and children of Woodscross, and Mr. and Mrs. Craig Morris and daughter of Washington Terrace. We spent all Wednesday afternoon and had real fun. Al 1 of us have our projects completed and are looking forward to entering them in the fair.
