That made two new grandchildren for the Checketts opened many lovely and useful gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Anderson had dinner guests April 27, Elders Jensen and Ross, who are fulltime Missionaries in this area. April 28, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Anderson and son Mark and Da Anderson along with Thora Anderson attended a temple session in Ogden along with the Leon Hansen family. Mrs. Hansen will be remembered as Shelly Anderson daughter of Sheldon Anderson and a niece of Dwight and Da. on Mr. and Mrs. Roger were attending church in Salt Lake City at the ward where his brother He told us there belongs. were 1300 members in that We. don't have that ward. many people in our town. in one week. Mrs. Ada Williams drove to Logan on April 24 where she joined her sister and husband the George ftrry's. They drove to MorrelL Nebraska and visited a brother and his wife Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith. Mrs. Smith was having open house for her 80th birthday. They visited many friends and relatives around Morrell and Scotts-hlu- ff. Hend-ricks- They returned to their homes the following Tuesday. Richard Nelson and wife, Joy and their family combined a business and plea- sure trip to California. Richard had some IRS bus- iness to do in Fresno. That is where his sister DeAnn and her family the Don Christensen s live. On the spur of the moment La Von and Raymond Nelson decided to go along. They took the long way to come home and visited with Raymond's sister Lucille Arbon and family In Oxnard, California and in Los Angeles a brother, Lyle Nalsol and family. Richard, Joy and their three boys enjoyed a full day at Disneyland. They arrived home on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Nelson of Garland called Theone and Deena Hansen and said they were going to Pheonixto vis- it another sister and wouldn't take no for an snswer for the m going along. They spent eleven days visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Van Zandt, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Webb, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Long and Mr. and Mrs. James Carter of Tombstone and Mesa, Arizona. They reported they had a wonderful time and the weather was gorgeous. Flyllis B, Holmgren and her daughter Clixie were at a birthday shower luncheon last Saturday afternoon for Michelle Burt a future bride. The hostesses with Janyce Holmgren, Denise Longhurst, Melanie Holmgren, Joyce Cusick, Lola Beth Christensen and daughter, Carole, Vida Burt and daughter Christine, Mrs. Harvey Mund and three daughters ofWillard, Francis Burt and daughter Marilyn, Glenna Burt , Diane Harper and Michelle were there. Early guests enjoyed punch until everyone arrived and then luncheon was served after which Michelle is all. They went to cross the bridge and when the truck was completely on the bridge it collasped and they went in the ditch with it They were not injured but badly frightened. It is quite an isolated area and so they had a long walk home to get help to pull the truck out Jane Holmgren who is employed in Salt Lake City spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Paul Holm' gren. In Sunday afternoon ser-- ( vices Ann Palmer was released as a primary teacher. Glenna Burt was sustained as a primary teacher and Tulie Dallin was sustained as a teacher in the Sunday school. Steven and Ruth Tingy and their our children we regretfully report have moved out of our community. They are now living south of Thatcher, Idaho, where Steven is employed by Clark Mick- -' alson who Is in the dairy business. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Archibald, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dallin and La Von Dallin were in Brigham City attending church services where the small son of Susan and Larry Yates was given the name Zachary Adam. Hall and small Linda daughter, Cami, have moved; to Salt Lake where Linda is now employed. The trailer house Linda lived in will be occupied by Roxanne Hansen and Lynn Rose after they are married this weekend.
