The commemoration of that famous event on May 10, 1975, will again give rise to a celebrationperhaps not from coast to coast, but certainly in the heart of Golden Spike Empire. The primary focus, of course, will be on Golden Spike National Historic Site 32 miles west of Brigham City where Rep. Gunn McKay will keynote the annual event. The program will begin at 11 a.m. with features including a special presentation to Bernice G. Anderson, "Mother of the Golde Spike", and the laying of a (D-JJt- A memorial wreath by representatives of the Union Pacific and Southern Pacific Railroad companies. Climaxing the 24th annual commemoration will be a recreation of the driving of the last spike by costumed members; of a veteran cast.
