Show THE Dear Rivor City Way - E GARLAND TIMES, Tremonton, Utah Checkett's Checketts Usher In New Year And Party The New Year was ushered in at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mario Checketts with food, fun and games were the diversions of the evening. Those enjoying the festivities of the evening were: Mr. and Mrs. Clair Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Nickoliason, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nessler, Mr. and Mrs. Vay Jensen, Rulon Scotland Valoy Ha we s. Bryce and Marlene Checketts arrived here from their home in Phoenix to visit with the Mario Checketts. They drove a truck up for a dealer in Tremonton. They returned by air Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Crosby of Provo visited their parents the Roger Hendrick-so- ns during the week. Visiting at the Reed Munns home were Mr. and Mrs. Ron Munns of Sandy, Utah. Marilyn Munns has been here since Christmas and her boyfriend Eric Rasmussen has been here for the week- . H. Oyler was confirmed a member of the church Sunday by his father Stacy Oyler. Family members presentfor the ceremony were his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Oyler, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin King, Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Oyler all of East Garland and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kupfer of Salt Lake City and their family. The group all met for dinner at the Oyler's home after church. Angela Gay Torrance was also confirmed by her home teacher Rulon Scott. Rulon Duncan was released from his position as coordinator between the Scouting activities of the Primary and the Aaronic priesthood. Sustained in this position was Curtis Christensen. Zina Hansen was also released after many years of service as a geneological Christy Nelson helped her mother serve luncheon to the quitters. The Archibald's, the John-sen- 's, the Dallins and the Nelson's gathered at the home of Dick and Joy Nelson on New Year's day in honor of Joy's birthday.
