Show State Industrial Arts Exhibits' April 19 THE LEADER. Tremonlon. Utah Thursday, Apirl 24, 1958 - mini "Mwsfc ' -- M - "Wx .xJ.-i- ; J ?v. 1 Contestants from all High Schools in Utah participated in a State Wide Industrial Arts Exhibit and contest April 19, sponsored by Sears Roebuck and Co., of Salt Lake City for cash prizes and ribbons. The following boys from Bear River High School participated: Dan Shaffer, East Garland; Ted Abel, 'Garland; Richard Thompson, Douglas Hansen, Elwood; Gerald Jensen, Bear River; Vernon Crozier, Tremon-ton- ; Glade Sutherland, Fielding; Norman Rogers, East Garland. Dan Shaffer won 1st in the State in Furniture Division with Douglas Hansen 3rd in Furniture; Gerald Jensen 4th in Plastic. Dan will be eligible to represent the State of Utah at the Ford Foundation National Industrial Arts Exhibit at Dear born, Michigan. This year's contest was a spectacular exhibit with hundreds of entries of the best workmanship of young craftsmen ever shown in the state in all line of crafts work.
