Hansen returned Tuesday of last week from a motor trip to California in company with his son, W. E. and wife of Logan. On the way dow n there they visited the scenic wonders of southern Utah. The trip covered some over two weeks time and included a visit to many places of interest. The party were struck with the extreme difference in temperature upon reaching home. Bishop says, one more trip down there, especially in the winter time, would almost make a Californian out of him. Friends enjoyed some real oranges from there. A large crowd greeted the M. I. A. road show presented here Wednesday night. Each act showed that much time and effort had been expended in preparing for this annual event. Needless to say that this community feel proud to have won first place in the stake. Prior to the basket ball game between Bear River and Box Elder High Schools at Bear River gym Friday night, our town team and Fielding town team played a lively game. The Fielding team won by three points. Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette Grover were Brigham visitors Wednesday. Miss Eva Adams visited friends in Perry over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Hansen motored to Brigham City, Friday. Mrs. Laura Olsen of Brigham is their house guest this week. Messrs Bishop, Parley Linford and Henry Brown of Garland represented the Seventies Quorum at Sacrament meeting Sunday evening.
