L. Schafer, Red Cross manager in the Pacific area. While many of these parcels are sent by friends or relatives, the great bulk is sent by the Red Cross chapters of the nation, and are distributed thruout Guam, the Philippines, Samoa and Hawaii. The foregoing warning was issued as a result of word that creditors of farmers in some states are seeking to get farmers to agree to such assignments. "The purpose of the wheat adjustment payment is to put this additional purchasing power into the hands of the farmer for him to use at his discreation not merely to have him assign his adjustment payment to the first from the Officers Directors and Employees OF THE Helper State Bank creditor who reaches him," director Peterson said. "The answer of any farmer to a creditor who asks that the adjustment payment check be assigned to him, is that such action is impossible under article 16 of the contract, which reads: 'The producer will not sell or assign, in whole or in part, this contract or his right to or claim for adjustment payments under this contract, and will not execute any power of attorney to collect such to order adjustment payments that any such payments be made. Any such sale, assignment, order or power of attorney shall be null and void' " director Peterson said. tr HOTEL U. P.
