The flashing pedestrian light adjacent to the CLSS building does have a 20 mph sign posted; however, it is necessary for this light to flash 24 hours as pedestrians use this area throughout the night and on weekends as their shift dictates. The energy consumed is insignificant compared to the cost of safety for pedestrians. The flashing lights must remain active throughout the period. jflfll I would like to compliment Amn. This piece of equipment runs continually from the time people show up for work until quitting time. With the reduction in force and reduced workload, there are only two people using the facility instead of 20 people. Their camera work orders are almost down to zero. They may run 20-5- 0 feet of film a day or no film at all. Can it be turned off and only run a couple of times a week? Maybe the film could be taken to the base photo lab for develop- ment. By doing this, the total cost of the wear and tear of the machine could be reduced. Also, wouldn't there be great savings in shutting down the machine from idling all day and having the film developed at the photo lab? . : J The film processor is used to test all cameras processed through the Photonics Shop's overhaul program and is, therefore, the heart of that operation.
