Al Pollak 75th Medical Group A new computer system will help members of the 75th Medical Group provide health care faster and better to Hill AFB hospital patrons. Installation of the new system, the Composite Health Care System, will begin next month and should be completed by March. It is being installed throughout the Department of Defense worldwide. Implementation of the system will take place in three phases. The first phase, beginning in December, will automate functions such as medical record tracking, appointments and the pharmacy. The second phase, expected to start in October 1995, will automate ' the laboratory and radiology areas of the hospital. The process is expected to be tedious, so patients could possibly experience some delays while the changeover takes place. In January, the clinical areas will be transferring to the new system, which will limit appointments more than Usual After each clinic makes the changes, additional appointments will become available. In order to make the transfer of patient data more efficient and to ensure that patient information is correct in the new system, the hospital has developed a form to summarize patient data. Hospital officials are asking that all personnel retirees and their families fill out the form included with this article and drop it off at the blue dropboxes at the hospital, the base exchange or the commissary.
