Loewenhagen, James R. Mitchell, Orval W. Porritt, Donald E. Sindelar, Cory D. Tarpenning and James A. Whitmore. 6501st Range Squadron: Ralph J. Moss III. 6514th Test Squadron: Donald G. Nunemak-e- r (U.S. Air Force Photo) 299th Range Control Squadron, faces Col. Roy D. Bridges, commander, 6510th Test Wing, Edwards AFB, Calif., during ceremonies on Jan. 10 honoring the unit for its selection for an Air Force Outstanding Unit award. The unit, which has received the honor five times, was commended for its "exceptionally meritorious service from May 1983 to May 1985," during which time they provided support for more than 50,000 sorties for the Department of Defense.
