John Evans 2849th Security Police Squadron A Crime Stop call by a concerned citizen Oct. 28 resulted in Security Police apprehending an individual carrying concealed weapons. The anonymous caller reported that a suspicious-lookinindividual was hanging around Bldg. 450. The call resulted in the apprehension. A big thank you to someone who got involved! Other activities during the week were thefts, vandalism and alcohol and drug abuse. Another part of the blotter is being added this week which tells results of sentences levied by the Federal Magistrate Court. It is hoped that readers will be impressed by the amount of fines levied and other punishments administered. g Thefts A first aid kit valued at $12 was taken from a storage room in Bldg. 5 on Oct. 26. During an inventory in Bldg. 251, it was discovered that 57 portable heaters were missing. They are valued at $2,348.15 and investigation is con- tinuing. A dryer in Bldg. 383 was robbed of one pair of military fatigues Oct. 29. Malicious mischief Maybe it was a Halloween trick played a few days early, but vandals threw rocks and broke windows on the east side of Bldg. 1410 Oct. 29. Damage was estimated at $45. They struck again the next night in Bldg. 483, when windows were again broken by rocks. Damage was $50. Anyone having information that could help Security Police apprehend the culprits should be called to Ext. 77891. A civilian visitor was apprehended Oct. 27 at the South Gate for drinking and driving. The driver re--' fused to submit to an intoxilyzer test, but he has a Dec. 19 date with the Magistrate to face the ; charges. The South Gate was again the scene for apprehending two military individuals. One was caught at noon Oct. 28 during a seatbelt check. Noting the smell of alcohol, the' Security Policeman administered an intoxilyzer test which recorded .13 percent. The second member was grabbed when he failed to stop for a seatbelt check. Again smelling alcohol, an intoxilyzer test was given with a result of .16 percent. Another military member was caught on 11th Street Nov. 1 for driving in an unsafe manner. Alcohol was again detected and the intoxilyzer registered .14 percent. Off base, a military member was booked into Davis County Jail for drinking and driving. His bail was set at $610. Another member was arrested by Sunset City Police for the same offense. His intoxilyzer test registeredl? percent and bail was set -- at $556.
