MUSIC NOTE Two Hill AFB men, Eugene Peterson of Finance and Accounting Division, and Jimmy Hackwell of Supply's Transportation Operations Division, are half of a popular musical combo, the "Ad Libs," that entertain at Hill AFB Officers' Club and NCO Club as well as country clubs in the Ogden area. Eugene plays the clarinet and sax; Jimmy is on the drums. Fran Hackwell, Jimmy's wife, is the clever vocalist for the group. Cecil Anderson who plays the organ and piano fills out the quintet. Recently the "Ad Libs" played for the grand opening of the Woodmore Country Club in Colorado Springs, Colo. Thiokol Division, Ogden AFPRO, presents FINE QUARTET four of its employees with Outstanding Performance Ratings. Personnel earning the special recognition are (left to right) Charles B. TAKES NEW DUTIES MATERIEL MANAGEMENT NEWS Xenie Serner, Data Products Division, Materiel Managewith stories of her three-wee- k ment, has been the envy of vacation in Europe. She and her husband, Robert, who works for Defense Depot Ogden, arrived in Paris where they saw the Folies Bergere; then went on to shop in Venice and Florence with lots of sightseeing in between. The highlight of their trip was seeing St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome, and being in the square when the Pope gave his customary Sunday blessing to the crowd. They especially enjoyed Michaelangelo's paintings on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. When Sherrie Jean Voss became Mrs. Douglas D. Mitchell in recent wedding rites at the Hillgate Terrace Recreation Center in Layton, it was the groom's father who performed the ceremony as Bishop of the Clinton Ward. Douglas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. DeMar Mitchell, and Sherrie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Van J. Voss of Layton. Both fathers are Materiel Management employees. At a reception following the wedding, the bride was lovely in a floor length gown of lace and net adorned with sequins and veil of Spanish lace fell from a seed pearls. Her waist-lengtpearl tiara and she carried a bouquet of white, rosebuds. Her maid of honor, Nanci Taylor, wore lavendar accented with purple velvet. Randy Robinson of Clinton performed as best man. The couple are making their home in Sunset. GEEIA SPOTLIGHT The directorate of Supply and Transportation welcomes Capt. Robert G. Stein who will as shortly sume his duties as chief of the Base Support Division. When Col. Charles Y. Shultz, Jr., GEEIA Col. Clyde M. Hutchens, squadron commander, briefed him on facil ities and personnel on the occasion of his visit to attend the Captain AFLC Commanders' Conference. Stein, who was previously assigned to Hq. 313th Air SSgt. Ronald A. Ellis was the recent recipient of the Gold Zero Defects Award at brief squadron ceremonies. Sergeant Ellis was cited for his superior performance as Administrative NCOIC for the squadron. Di-visi- Ka-den- a, Stein Okinawa, was recently awarded the Air Force Commendation medal for his outstanding service as chief of the Supply and Services Division of the organization. Three other GEEIA individuals recently received Bronze Zero Defects Awards for error-fre- e performance.
