Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bradfleld and children spent Saturday in Salt Lake. Lawrence had a medical heck-up and then they went shop ilng and sightseeing. Mr. . Ben Stephenson came up from Ventura, California, took his wife to Salt Lake for a final check with her doctor and then on Satur day they left for their home. Mrs. Stcpiten-.on has been in Utah for the past six weeks for medical care. Lucille Johnson spent several days la the hospital in Payson last week. She has also been hav ing dental work done at Nephl. Raymond and Bonnie Vest and two little ones have 'born visiting the John Talbots, fro.n Salt Lake, This week the Talbots have rela tives from California visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Rodman are home again after visiting for some time In California and Ari zona. The Garden Club met Wednes dav evening at the church. Busi ness matters were discussed with President Eleanor Nielson conduc ting. Mrs. Clead Teeples gave talk on the use of alfalfa and stack yard mulch for the flower garden. Mrs. Myrtis Peterson ac companled her here. The new well has been having a test pumping. It seems they have plenty of water, but are hav lng difficulty with sand interfer ence. Thursday Mrs. Mary Johnson Mrs. Lucille Overson, Mrs. Nena Wllkins, Mrs. Alpha Nielson and Mrs. Wanda Nielson attended the Relief Society convention at Fill more. Mrs. Rhea Whatcott went over to Fillmore with them but visited with Mrs. Georgia Whatcott and family. On Friday a new son was born to the Carl Whatcotts at the Fillmore hospital. Sam, the youngest young-est of the Whatcott children Is here with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvln Wrhatcott. Mrs Marilyn Nielson took a group of her sewing class members to Delta Thursday for the style tpvIpw where thev modeled the articles made in the class. Saturday the lessor Priesthood were taken to the Manti Temple by Eddie Dutson and Lowell Wil-kins. Wil-kins. They took part in baptisms and enjoyed the day very mucn Sunday evening they also gave the nroeram in church. Barbara Anderson and family were here Saturday from Richfield, for the day at the Lowell Wllkins. Sunday morning In Sunday School a very good program was enjoyed by the large crowd attending. attend-ing. The two Sunday Schools held jointly and each mother present received a lovely fan. Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Tolbert and family were down from Salt Lake Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lile Johnson here and in Delta with the Clinton Tolbert family. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Nielson and little Dean drove down from Provo for the weekend visiting the Clead Nielsons and with Mr. and Mrs. Cutler Henrie and family In Suther land. Miss Emogene Nielson was home with her family for Mother's Day. Mrs. Marva E. Whitting visited here briefly with Mrs. Mary Johnson John-son on Monday after spending Sun day in Delta with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Evans. She says her father is seriously ill at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Tillman Johnson and family were up for a visit with the Llle Johnsons on Sunday. Ivie J., Garry and Leon Nielson drove home from Salt Lake to be with their parents over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen. Rex, Adele and Mark, visited in Salt Lake over the weekend with relatives. Mrs. Eleanor Nielson took her mother, Mrs. Jane M. Ashby to Oak City for a stay with her sister, Mrs. LBAMUNCTOi Klee Flnlinson Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hanson spent Wednesday night and Thursday Thurs-day in Tooele visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Quarnberg and family. - Thello Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. Oren Nielson and Craig spent the weekend at home with Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Nielson. Saturday, chicken dinner was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Williams, to Mrs. Grace Bennett, her daughter, Elma Taylor and grandson, Ryan Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Dern Williams visit ed Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C, R. Williams. Mrs. Darnae Nielson and family are visiting in Mesquite, Nevada. She went to attend the funeral of her step-father and will stay a couple of weeks. The Leamington school presented present-ed a May day program for the parents, Friday afternoon. A short operetta, square dances, a group of chj.a! reading, several numbers by the tonnette band, scientific experiments and the winding of the May pole kept everyone delightfully de-lightfully entertained for more than an hour. Mr. and Mrs. Dene Dutson and sons, LaMont and David, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dutson. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Dutson and son Kayle, of Logan, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dutson. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Dutson Dut-son drove over Sunday from Fillmore. Fill-more. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Anderson and Tamily spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson. They took Conn;e home with them. She has spent the past two weeks with her aunt and uncle. Keith Nielson of Magna, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bevan Nielson. The Lynndyl and Leamington MIA are sponsoring a roller skating arty on Friday, May 24, at Hinckley. Hinck-ley. Everyone plan on joining the 'un. Mr and Mrs Stanley Bradfield drove into Salt Lake City Saturday to bring Joan home for the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Dutson and daughter from Provo, visited Friday Fri-day afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dutson. The Sunday School presented a short program honoring mothers Sunday morning. The Junior Sun day School children sang, ''Mother Dear, I Love You So." Kenneth Lovell gave a talk and each of the mothers present was presented a lovely carnation Sunday night service was given by Priesthood members in commemoration com-memoration of the Restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood. Miss Ro-mae Ro-mae Hogan in Inglewood, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Stephenson and little daughter in Covina and Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Hogan in Los Angeles Mrs. Mary Freer left Saturday to go to Bountiful where she will be the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Stienback, who are leaving for a tour of the middleeast for the re mainder of the month. m&nd Lovell, Reese Johnson and spent the weekend In Provo with Eddie Bradfield, sang. Bradfield home. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Al-bert Hanson and two daughters, of Fairview, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bradfield and two sons,, Albert's mother and sister, Ida Stott from Mt. Pleasant were the guests. Lenny Holmquist spent the week end with his grandparents, to help with the farm work.. Mrs. Randall Bradfield left Sunday Sun-day afternoon to spend the week with her husband in Salt Lake. Mrs. Stanley Bradfield and her sister Emily, drove into Provo on Thursday. In Payson, they picked up Mr. and Mrs. Frank McCann and drove to Springville, where they visited with Willy Lovell and family. In Provo, they visited Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pyne and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Nelson and family visited Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Nelson. The former Doris Jenson, her husband and three, sons visited friends and relatives In town Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wells Nielson moved to Delta. Monday, May 13, was the 86th birthday of Mrs. Anna Cochran, Delta resident since 1947. Mrs. Coch ran was born In Norway, and came to the United States when she was 20 years old. She was married to Charles M. Cochran in Denver, and the couple moved to the Sugerville area in 1913, among the early settlers. set-tlers. Mr. Cochran died there in 1934.
