Mrs. Hedquist Is remaining this week to care for her mother, Mrs. Mortensen. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Owens returned return-ed to Delta last week after three weeks spent in California. They visited their daughter and husband, hus-band, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Brush, at Oakland, and were present for the marriage of their granddaughter. Danna Brush, and Otis Webb, in the Los Angeles Temple on April 15, and the reception that night at Oakland. They later spent a day at Disney Land and did other sight seeing, and returned home, via Western Airline. The Stewing Steamers On April 24, the Stewing Steam ers 4-H club had their first meet ine. Thev elected officers. For president, Nancy Black; vice president, Vickie Warnick, secret ary. Gloria Allred; reporter, man lyn Warnick. Our leaders are Car ole Warnick and Bonnie jonnsun. On May 1, the Stewing Steamers met at the home of Marilyn warnick. warn-ick. We cooked creamed peas, carrots a la creme and five-minute cabbage. The next meeting will be at the home of Bonnie Johnson. We met on May 8 at the home of our leader, Bonnie Johnson. We cooked creamed cauliflower with cheese and baked a meat loaf. Our next meeting will be held on May 16 at the home of Janice Peterson. Marilyn Warnick, reporter The Stitchettes A regular meeting of The Stitchettes Stitch-ettes 4-H club was held at our leader's, Mrs. Rawlinson, home on Friday, May 10. We started making our wash cloth slipper and laundry bags. We served punch and cookies after sewing. Shirley Ann Bunker brought the cookies. Shirley Rae Iverson, reporter The Seomeretts On May 3 the Seameretts held their third meeting with Karla Johnson as hostess. We each sewed on a paper to learn how to sew straight. We also learned how to thread a machine. At our next meeting we will start on our scarfs. Refreshments were served. The next meeting will be at Susan Lyman's. On May 10, we held our 4-H meeting at the home of Susan Ly man. She gave a demonstration on how to thread the machine and how to sew straight. We also wor ked on our scarfs. Refreshments were served. The honor roll contains names of those in the top five per cent grade-wise in each of the seven academic schools. The list is the first honor roll released bv the university in several years. Gerald W. Watts, airman. USN. son of Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Watts, of Delta, is serving aboard the attack aircraft carrier USS Bon Homme Richard. The carrier is in San Diego, California, preparing for cruise to the Far East this summer. Army Pvt. Dee R. Nielson. son of Mr. and Mrs. Reed D. Nielson, Lynndyl, Utah, is receiving advanced advan-ced training with the 597th Armored Armor-ed Field Artillery Battalion at Fort Sill. Okla. Nielson, a 1952 graduate of Delta High School, attended the College of Southern Utah and was a missionary for the Latter Day Saint Church in Salt Lake City before entering the Army last January.
