FOR withdrawal from UTA 107 AGAINST withdrawal from UTA 108 QUESTION 2 In the event Spanish Fork City withdraws from UTA, should the 14 of a percent (.0025) sales tax on retail sales within the City be imposed for the purpose of construction and maintenance of highways (City Streets) under the jurisdiction of Spanish Fork City? FOR a 14 of one percent (.0025) sales tax increase for 112 street improvements AGAI NST a 14 of one percent (.0025)sales tax increase 113 for street improvements PROPOSITION 1 RESOLUTION AMENDING STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROVISIONS Shall the Utah Constitution be amended to: (1) modify terms used to identify certain local government entities; (2) expand the types of services special service districts may be authorized to provide; (3) authorize the Legislature to provide for the creation of local government entities in addition to counties, municipalities, school districts, and special service districts; (4) modify county seat and optional forms of county government provisions; (5) require the Legislature to provide in statute for municipal dissolution; (6) clarify election provisions; (7) modify the exclusive uses of specified highway revenues; and (8) repeal language that is redundant or obsolete relating to state and local government? FOR 122 AGAINST 124 PROPOSITION 2 RESOLUTION CREATING CONSTITUTIONAL FUND Shall the Utah Constitution be amended to: establish estab-lish a permanent state trust fund consisting of tobacco settlement money designated by statute or appropriation and specified private donations, with income from the trust fund to be deposited into the FOR UU state's General Fund and the principal to be preserved in the trust fund unless the governor and three-fourths of both the Senate and the House of Representatives agree to remove money or assets AGAINST 132 from the trust fund for deposit into the state's General Fund? INITIATIVE A Shall a law be enacted to: d) (2) (3) (4) declare English Utah's official and sole language lan-guage for state and local government documents docu-ments and action; exempt those documents and actions required by the United States and Utah constitutions; federal law and regulations; law enforcement, public safety, and health requirements; public and higher education; certain judicial proceedings; proceed-ings; economic development and tourism; and libraries; require public and higher education to enact IUI u prumoie learning and using Engiisn and encourage learning foreign language; and return to the General Fund monies appropriated appropri-ated or designated for services in another AGAINST 14Z language, and require accounting? - FOR 14 INITIATIVE B Shall a law be amended to: (D (2) (3) (4) (5) forbid forfeiture (seizure and sale) of property involved in crime where an innocent owner neither knew of nor consented to the crime; create uniform procedures to protect property owners where forfeiture is sought by the government; require the government to prove property is subject to forfeiture, and to reimburse owners for damage to property in custody; require distribution of forfeiture proceeds, after deductions for court costs and victim losses, to schools instead of counties or the state; clarify valuation methods for forfeited property, and ruire tracking and reporting of all money FOR 149 AGAINST 151 : |
