I know all the seniors cannot wait until next Friday at 2 p.m. Why would the seniors mm ill 1 i m mini mi mMniiiniiiMiMi be excited about that day, well, that day is graduation. So seniors, you may vant to double check and make sure that you are for sure graduating. gradu-ating. The night of graduation from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. is the all night party. It is going to be a lot of fun, so all you seniors go to the party. This Friday, May 25, is the senior dinner dance. If you bought your wristband then I will see you there. It is going to be a great night, there will be a catered dinner in the commons area and then we will all go into the gym and enjoy a dance. Cavestock was last Friday, and it was a hit. There was a huge turnout, and everyone had a good time. If you didn't go then you really missed out. The bands did a great job and everyone had fun playing on the extreme blow up games. Even though we had to move everything inside because of the rain, we all still had a good time. The stomp also went over really well the main gym was packed with, hot sweaty bodies. The student body officers would like to thank everyone that participated in powder puff, red thunder, and the bands. There will be no school on Monday because of Memorial Day, so there is no need for you to come to school. On Tuesday May 29, from 1 to 4 p.m: there will be a yearbook stomp. It . Encourage your children to Z write letters to their grandparents. Don't let a day go by without listening to your primary grade children read. Share a book with your older children, either by reading aloud to each other or by discussing dis-cussing the parts you each find interesting. interest-ing. There are wonderful books available from the local library. There will be storytelling story-telling sessions at the American Fork Library this summer. The library here at Z Barratt will be open one day each week -T for checking out books. Reading is a skill that gets honed by practice. Mr. Burton has been at Legacy Elementary since it opened and has accomplished so many things. This is where you will pick up your yearbook or else you won't get it until the next day before or after school. So if you want to get your yearbook, go the yearbook stomp. The yearbooks will only be distributed from l to 2:45 p.m. so get there when it starts. Enjoy the few remaining days of high school because next year none of the seniors sen-iors will be there, and seniors sen-iors you probably won't see over half the people you used to run around with. Enjoy the rest of the year. Students place at BYU anguage fair The Japanese class at American Fork High School recently attend the Foreign Language Fair at BYU. The fair, which is sponsored by BYU, represents several foreign languages including German, French, Spanish, Latin, and Japanese, all classes which are. taught at the high school. Jaime Hickenbotham received first place in the third year speech division. Misti Curtis received second sec-ond place in the first year speech division. Students from the Japanese class have attended attend-ed the fair for the last three years. dCioncG students learn about environment Earth science students at American Fork Junior High School have been learning about the environment envi-ronment through a fun and creative learning environment. They started with students stu-dents groups reporting on their research of the bio-, mes of the world and ended with Earth Week and Arbor Day activities. , A series of games for the environmentally conscious con-scious ended with a "Millionaire" style game during which the qualifying qualify-ing students and some challengers competed for prizes donated by Cascade Shadows nursery and teacher Janet Bates.
