Boys and girls from age 9 to 14 are eligible to participate in this program. Ages are calculated calcu-lated by age on Dec. 31', 1999. " : - The event is a fundraiser for Team Utah, the state's top 15 and 16 year old players, who are in the Olympic sets tryouts, Building and Alpine City Hall, and can be returned by mail if they arrive by June 5. Parents of players should be prepared to volunteer to help out with various team assignments during dur-ing the season. Late registration is discour-' aged. A player who is registered late may be placed on a team with players from an elementary elemen-tary school different than requested. The registration fee for Recreational Soccer is $23, which covers both the 1999 fall season (September-October) and the 2000 spring season (April-May). For those youth who do not already own a uniform uni-form shirt (reversible maroon and white) from last year, an additional $12 shirt fee is required. Therefore, they should wait until the June 5 date to register. 1 .;.; Some AF By Dean Von Memmott Sports Correspondent While Lone Peak dominated both divisions of the May 5-6 Region Six track meet at Provo, the American Fork Cavemen placed sixth in both divisions of the two-affair. Brian Glazier took second in both the 200- and 400-meter dashes. He also took third in the 100-meter dash. The Cavemen finished third in the boys' 1,600-meter relay. Keith Kennard took fifth in the boys' 300-meter dashes. In girls' action, American Fork took second and fifth in the girls' medley and 1,600-meter 1,600-meter relays. Lauren Browning took second sec-ond in the girls' 100-meter hurdles hur-dles and fifth in the girls' 300-meter 300-meter hurdles. During girls' high jump competition, com-petition, Jessica Cook and Kristi Loveridge took fourth and fifth respectively. Glazier, Browning, Elise Greenwood and Jeff Hunsaker are among those who will represent rep-resent AF at the state track meet. The team of Nick Hoover and Todd Washington worked their way through a tough bracket to reach the championship champi-onship round.
