Wednesday, May 12, 1999 - Page 3 AF Hospital Expansion of the American Fork Hospital could begin by the end of this year, according to announcement by local hospital hos-pital officials The design phase for additions addi-tions to the hospital campus begins this month, and are expected to be completed within with-in six months. Construction on the expansion will begin shortly short-ly after. Plans call for the addition of 190,000 feet to the present facil-ity-almost doubling the present square footage of the hospital. Other services affected by construction will be admitting, registration, patient accounting, account-ing, health information services, ser-vices, pharmacy and same-day surgery. Officials say this will be the first of several phases of construction con-struction that will eventually see American Fork Hospital move to a Level 5 facility, similar simi-lar to Cottonwood Hospital.
