Moore To Wed in Logan Temple Ceremony Miss Diane Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman J. Chirk, will exchange wedding vows Monday, Mon-day, June 1 in the Logan LDS Temple, with Grant J. Moore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Moore, Lehl. Miss Clark is a graduate of Am. Fork High School, where she was engaged in school activities ac-tivities and graduated from the LDS Seminary. She is presently attending Brigham Young University Univer-sity where she plans to graduate next spring. She is majoring in sociology with a minor in English. Eng-lish. Mr. Moore is a graduate of Lehi High School and LDS Seminary. Sem-inary. While in high school, ho served as president of the Letii Chapter of the F FA. He attended attend-ed Brigham Young University and is currently employed as an assistant manager for a firm in Salt Lake City. , Mr. Moore has completed six years duty in the Provo Army Two Local Students Named to Honor Roll Honor roll students for winter quarter at Southern Utah State Ccllege included 66 students with a perfect record 4.00 grade point average and 132 students with CPA's from 3.60 to 3.96. In order for students to be placed plac-ed on the Honor Roll they must have a CPA of over 3.60 and be taking a minimum of 15 credit hours for the quarter. He is currently serving in the United States Army. Following their marriage the newlyweds will make their home in San Antonio, Texas, where the groom will be stationed. Carlo Eliason Students Present Recital Students of Carla Eliason held their spring recital Sunday, May 17 at the home of Mrs. Elixson. Mrs. Eliason welcomed friends, parents and relatives, followed by an opening prayer offered by Teri Robinson. A special spec-ial violin trio consisting of Connie, Con-nie, Rebecca, and Kathleen Smith, accompanied by Mrs. Eliason, provided variety to the piano selections. se-lections. (Yvonne Carlton) Newlywed Couple Honored at Reception in Alpine Cultural Hall A lovely reception was held Friday evening, May 15, in the Alpine Ward Cultural Hall honoring honor-ing the newly married James R. Williams and his bride, the former Yvonne Carlton, hosted by the bride' s parents, Bishop and Mrs. Lloyd R. Carlton. To greet her guests at the reception, re-ception, the bride was attired in an original gown of silk organza and chantilly lace. The empire bodice of all-over chantilly lace was styled with a high neck-line of scalloped lace and featured full leg-o-mutton sleeves with a french cuff of matching lace. Cascading Cas-cading down the full front of the skirt of the gown were two rows of hand clipped lace scalloped to match that which completely bordered bor-dered the full chapel train. The train fell from a matching bridal head piece of chantilly lace. Her bouquet was of white orchids surrounded by yellow spider starburst chrysanthemums. Attending the bride was Gay a Carlton, sister of the bride, as Maid of Honor, and bridesmaids, Mrs. Fred Keetch, Mrs. Jerold Walker, Mrs. Nel Fuller, Mrs. Marvin Marsh, and tiny attendant attend-ant Miss Gina Brown. Their dresses were of yellow Crystal Charm with gold velvet ribbon tied in a bow accenting the empire waistline. They held closed unbrellas with lilies of the valley, yellow carnations and yellow starburst chrysanthemums chrysanthe-mums with gold streamers. Little Miss Brown held an open umbrella um-brella filled with iliaiik you scrolls which she presented to each guest. The bridal line stood before a Belgian pleated backdrop underscored under-scored with gold and decorated with cupids holding large bouquets of gladiolus and mums. Greeting the arriving guests were Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Shepherd, Shep-herd, and Mr. and Mrs. Max Brown. Mrs. Stephen Barratt and Miss Paulette Strong presided at the guest book taole. "Guys and Dolls" Production Ready For Presentation This Weekend at Provo That fabulous fable that played Broadway, "Guys and Dolls" will be presented at the Provo High School Auditorium on Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday, May 23, 25 and 26 at 8 p.m. with a matinee mat-inee at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Ad mission is $1.50, adults, $1.00 for students, and children 75 cents. The Saturday matinee may be seen by the public for 50 cents. The original story was written by Damon Runyon; it tells of the masculine SkyMastersonwhoisa lady's man and who is bet $1,-000 $1,-000 by his friend that he, Sky cannot get Sarah (a missionary for the "Save a Soul" mission to go with him to Puerto Rico). In conjunction with Sky's efforts o win this bet, is the inter-play of Nathan and Adalaide who have been going together for 14 years, but Adalaide hasn't been able to persuade Nathan to marry her. Loree Brown Receives Honor Miss Loree Brown, Spanish teacher at the American Fork Junior High School, received the first annual Distinguished Foreign For-eign Language Award given by tiie Utah Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters in the area of Spanish Span-ish instruction. The Utah Academy of Sciences and Arts and Letters gives this award to a teacher who they feel has made an outstanding contribution contri-bution in furthering the appreciation apprecia-tion and study of foreign languages in the State of Utah and in recognition of excellence as a classroom teacher. Miss Brown teaches Spanish in grades seven, eight and nine at the Junior High School. When a man achieves a fair measure of harmony within himself him-self and his family circle, he achieves peace. Participating will be the Ninth Grade representative students, stu-dents, the band, Chorus and outstanding out-standing musical students in the Ninth Grade.
