Show AF Civic Chorus Concert Thrills Capacity Crowd The community concert presented pre-sented by the American Fork Civic Chorus thrilled concert goers who formed a near capacity cap-acity audience at the Alpine Stake Tabernacle Saturday evening. even-ing. The piano artistry of Arthur Barnes was spectacular, as the talented musician added a new dimension of depth, power and in-tutive in-tutive interpretation to his faultless fault-less performance. The three numbers presented by the guest artist included the difficult "Schertzo in B Minor, Opus 31 by Chopin; "Isle of Joy," by Debussey; and a medley from "The Sound of Music." Director Jack Larson also sang two solo numbers which were well received by the audience. Anne Larsen was accompanist for the outstanding concert, which was billed as "An evening with the Am. Fork Civic Chorus Proceeds from the conctrtT financed by the Civic Chorus Boosters, will be used to finance fi-nance purchase of new uniforms for chorus members. In addition to Chorus Boosters named last weeks paper, the Bank of American Am-erican Fork also contributed to the Booster's Fund. Lions, Ladies Elect Hew Officers In elections recently held in American Fork Lions Club, Norman Clark was sustained to serve as president for the coming com-ing year. Officers elected to serve with Mr. Clark are Cliff Taylor, first vice president; Malcolm Beck, second vice president; pres-ident; and LaDell Terry, third vice president. Max Hunsaker was re-elected as Secretary-Treasurer. Secretary-Treasurer. Don Hall will serve as two-year director and Roy Smith, Charles Biggins are one-year one-year directors. C.A. Grant will be new song leader, Wilson Welch, Lion Tamer and R ay Walker will perform the duties of Tail Twister. Mrs. Norman (Theran) Clark was elected to serve as president pres-ident of the Lady Lions organization organ-ization for the coming year. Serving Ser-ving with Mrs. Clark will be Mrs Malcolm (Sharon) Beck first vice president; Mrs. Lynn (Barbara (Bar-bara Hutchings), second vice president; Mrs. Ray(Marge)Wal-ker, Ray(Marge)Wal-ker, secretary; and Mrs. Alan (Annette) Anderson and Mrs. Lawrence (Marilyn) Hansen as remembrance committee. The new officers for both the Lions and the Ladv Lions will be held in a late June meeting.
